But L-O-L at folks who thought they were going to get a stacked UC. With the guarantees of Wilder/Fury, how is that possible in a fight that isn't guaranteed to do big numbers?

This is actually taking a page out of the Eddie Hearn PPV special. Put on big to solid names on the UC against mismatches. Though Joyce really has no name but that is probably to bring in some Brits over to Staples Center. Not sure how well that will work or not though.

The people who said David Lemieux and Roman made the canelo card stacked should think this is the best card of all time

I think Haymon is making a mistake by not putting any Mexicans on the card. I mean why bother even having the fight in LA at all.

That sounds good but for PFV it should be better.

            That's pretty true

I’ve heard some rumblings of Andy Ruiz Jr...could be against either HW, but I’d assume Ortiz

No worse than the Alvarez-Fielding card, with the caveat that the main event is a fight that folks are actually interested in.

Hurd is coming back from a bum shoulder. With both guys back on the same fight schedule, barring any injury or defeats, things would seem to be set up pretty perfectly for Hurd-Charlo in the early Spring to unify their belts.

The bout sheet will likely run 10-12 fights long anyway.

With the event already selling well, and the main event featuring personalities to carry the marketing, there was no real need to push the "Hey SoCal Mexicans and Mexican Americans, come to our fight to watch Mexicans fight" arc.

None of that prevents the card to eventually feature a slew of fights featuring Mexicans and Latin fighters, though (Mario Barrios needs a fight, as do the Balderas brothers, and there's a good amount of other California-based talent with PBC)
