They are off to a good start with this Canelo signing one month in. I think they got lucky doe cuz if HBO still had an interest in boxing I suspect Canelo would still be with HBO. Lets see what DAZN can do with a lil luck going there way doe.
Didn't Canelo and Oscar pull a fast one a few years ago by signing a deal with HBO right when they were supposed to finalize a deal with Showtime? I figure Showtime was the lesser of the two options given the bad blood

Not sure why but most don't want this to succeed on here at least from this view, any particular reason beyond a fanboy based forum, thoughts ?

It is my opinion Hearn can get those big fights done if DAZN can collect the majority of fighters worth while. Boxing can become once again a major sport world wide not just in the U.K, but you need competence to do that and not many promoters actually have that yet we wish bad on this man any reasons that would overshadow that not wanting to see good cards that the DAZN platform has provided in just its start?
Eddie Hearn can't even make Khan vs Brook...

NBA doesn't control what happens everywhere.

Not to mention there are 4-5 main championships.

              It'll never happen.
All you need to do is control a handful of promoters. You don't need to control full countries. I think if Fox & PBC hadn't come together & PBC had signed a deal with DAZN you could almost call it a wrap cuz they'd have so many of the best boxers on the planet in the divisions people care about no one could compete.

It can happen. If it does or not is another story. I understand you guys don't like to get your hopes up about nothing ever with your negative asses all the time, but I'm more optimistic about sh^t & its clear as day this is the path someone will take & someone will succeed at EVENTUALLY.

Personally I think HBO coulda "taken over" boxing back in the 90's IF they wanted to. I was hopeful of PBC, but they can't get right about basic sh^t & seem to have tapped out with signing more talent (although I do see they are making moves lately so who knows). And DAZN is off to a great start with signing two of the biggest most known promoters with the 2 biggest names in the sport in their first month in this sphere. Its for sure doable.

HBO and Showtime also provided movies, shows, and documentaries though. Some of us don't want to pay for an app just for sports content. Boxing, a good movie, and stuff like Real Sex or Cathouse was worth paying for though lol.

Come on man not you too. You telling me you had free HBO, Showtime & PPV's this whole time? Boxing fans have been paying for boxing since they were showing the best fights in theaters a week after they took place. Boxing has always price gouged its fans.

and we have sleaze bag Hearn barking that fighters need to sign to get fights with his guys.
That was out of pocket I agree with you there. DAZN ultimately isn't Hearn doe. Hearn is just DAZN's biggest fanboy is the reality. And DAZN gave him some small amount of money, for them anyway, to work for them for the next 8 years.

I'm not a person to side with networks but if anyone is doing it right, it's ESPN. I didn't think I'd find myself saying that but I can't lie. They're putting on good fights and they're accessible.
ESPN isn't gonna exist as you know it in our lifetimes. All this sh^t is going to be streaming cuz you can't customize broadcast television & people wanna make sh^t their own more nowadays. They want variety. Choices. I blame that Minecraft game.

And come on man ESPN has been around 4 or 5 months. DAZN has been around 1 month. And they got Joshua, Canelo & the WBSS tournament already. And they are still making moves. Give it some time to bake a lil.

And randomly they need to allowing customization of that ESPN+ app cuz its pushing all these bs sports I give no f#cks about when all I wanna see is Boxing & MMA. ESPN people fix that f#cking sh^t.

I don't give a f#ck about movies. I just wanna watch live fights. Boxing & MMA. And the random kickboxing match or Muay Thai or even Sumo wrestling (although those diapers are weird, but I enjoy the rich history of sumo).

That's not the same. Those are cable networks that happen to show boxing.

I'm paying for cable. DAZN is like 90% boxing. It's basically a boxing network (USA at least.)
