What CANELO is really saying is **** getting my head bashed in against CHARLO at 160,he's staying at the much softer 168 div.

168 is a tough and underrated division! Look at Rob Brant he moved up and got beat easily by an almost 40 year old Brahmer. Now he goes back down to 160 and easily beats a prime Murata who everybody considered to be a top ten middleweight! Canelo may have a tough time beating the top guys at 168 not only because of their size but also talent. The only reason you have the usual idiots complaining is because there isn't the same kind of ridiculous hype around that division as there is at 160, that simple. Canelo would have an easier time beating Charlo, Jacobs and Andrade then beating Smith, Zurdo and Benavidez in my opinion.

It’d be lame if he goes to 168 with no real elite talent even the 2 notable Mexicans or Mexican -Am ( Benevidez/Zurdo ) are unproven or if he goes back to Canelo weight even though he’s proved he’s bigger then weight classes and straps wouldn’t be a good look IMO

Be interesting to see how it plays out
          Nope.

Canelo is better than Charlo, Jacobs, Saunders.

Ramírez , Smith and Benavidez Jr are way more dangerous for Canelo.

            Exactly.

            Thats the truth.

If Canelo can ve the #1 in 168 pounds he will be the third best fighter of this generation.

            First Floyd, second Pacquiao.

But there are a lot to do.

            168 is a big risk.

Much softer división fighting with guys that their weight in the ring are 187 pounds.

              Are you kidding me?

Charlo? That guy struggled against Trout.

Canelo is talking biggest risks at 168.

He never said that 160 is too small for him

He is saying that he want to do better things and a third title in different division is his goal.

And that if he feels good at 168 pounds, he will stay to fight a bigger name in the division.

Thats way better than a fight vs Charlo

All jokes aside, FLOYD fought men 15 to 20lbs bigger who had real skills such as CANELO,DELA HATER and COTTO proving that boxing skills wins fights. CANELO will be fighting men his size or a lil bigger but with mediocre skills.
