People always say this but the facts are the top fighters in that division are very big, pretty athletic, and all punch hard.

It’s not somewhere you’d campaign if you’re 5’7.

Good big man beats great little man isn’t a saying for nothing.

Calum Smith with his advantages really shouldn’t be beaten by Canelo. It would be a fantastic win for Canelo.

GGG has options to face Jacobs,Andrade,Saunders,Charlo. All 4 can beat him but he won't get the paydays as in the Canelo fights.

168 is a tough and underrated division! Look at Rob Brant he moved up and got beat easily by an almost 40 year old Brahmer. Now he goes back down to 160 and easily beats a prime Murata who everybody considered to be a top ten middleweight! Canelo may have a tough time beating the top guys at 168 not only because of their size but also talent. The only reason you have the usual idiots complaining is because there isn't the same kind of ridiculous hype around that division as there is at 160, that simple. Canelo would have an easier time beating Charlo, Jacobs and Andrade then beating Smith, Zurdo and Benavidez in my opinion.

He never said that 160 is too small for him

He is saying that he want to do better things and a third title in different division is his goal.

And that if he feels good at 168 pounds, he will stay to fight a bigger name in the division.

Jermall & Jermall were at 154 trying to get a Nelo fight & now Jermall is at 160 with Nelo trying to get a fight with Nelo & Triple L. If Nelo doesn't fight Mall sometime he/his team are ducking Jermall cuz we ALREADY KNOW Triple L is ducking Jermall as we speak....LMMFAO!

Good move for Canelo I suspect all the big 160 pounders will follow him to heavyweight if they have to. But in the meantime these entitled part timers should feel free to fight each other and please don’t make your career all about a fight with Canelo!

Canelo has 11 fights, but there will be more up and coming fighters that will want a pay day as well. Canelo can't fight them all. So they have to eliminate themselves. I want Canelo to fight only the best within this new crop of middleweights.

GGG vs Charlo
GGG vs Andrade
Andrade vs Saunders
Lemiux vs Jacobs

Just like PBC at 147 Charlo is locked out at 160...that blade cuts both ways. Example of Haymon's need to choke out competion for his personal gain ruins a fighters prime. But not to worry, Al's fan base will still love him and so will Charlo because they're the only ones that don't know they are being used.

Haymon will move Charlo to 168 to fight Ramírez , Smith and Benavidez Jr for a big pay day but I'll tell you one thing, his power won't be ShYt and he'll be fighting guys with better skills.

How can you be locked out when you have all the best fighters at PBC/Showtime/Fox & only 2 at espn/top rank & 4 at dazn/golden boy/matchroom? LMMFAO! top rank & matchroom have been proven to duck like ducks with their heads in the water....LMMFAO!!

Hard to say but I'd pick him to win at least 2 of 3 vs Charlo, Jacobs and Andrade but he would likely lose at least 2 of 3 to Smith, Benevidez and Zurdo....(I'd pick him only to maybe beat Zurdo).

Might just be the opposite....LOL
