Not true at all. If boxing was all on apps hardcore fans would be saving money. I mean think about it. You already gotta have cable + Showtime & til recently HBO. Thats like a ~$100/mo for most cats probably. With the current apps you are paying $15/mo & if there was some PBC platform that was another $10 a month its $25/mo.
And we aren't even getting into PPV fights which in the US is gonna add $120-$160 for the year & nothing more on the app side.
This is to be seen as far as I'm concerned. Clearly we've not seen a Big PPV-like streaming card at all. And TR has only had a couple 150k buy type cards thus far so I'll need to see a GGG vs Canelo III, Bud vs Spence or Wilder vs Joshua type card get made to fully believe it myself, but I've been looking at the math with subs & it seems a profitable model in theory to put on big fights. If they can prove it irl still needs to be seen, but I try to be optimistic about a lot of boxing sh^t that I can reasonable see reasonable upside gained in.
Thats a bad look & I think thats more about Hearn feeling himself with Canelo on DAZN & his guys moving to the front of the Canelo sweepstakes more than thats something he'll do. Hearn needs to walk that sh^t back for sure. Made him look ****** & petty. He's winning right now by just being on the DAZN platform & he's being a bad winner.

further prevent us from getting the fights we want.
Hearn is already telling you this when he says if you want to fight X person, you have to be on DAZN.
