Give Wilder %10 for every 100k buys then. Fighting Wilder is American exposure and could be worth a big Vegas pay day at some point. Could get a trilogy out of it. If the fight happens and stinks...
Really??? So what if the fight sells 1m PPV sales then???
Ok, at least I understand better where you've been coming from, thanks.
You are mistaking my factual point, reposted by you above, as an excuse. It's nothing of the sort. I was simply pointing out that the relative situation of both fighters was different from the Parker negotiations.
That's why all your subsequent posts about the merits of Parker vs Wilder were so bizarre.
you were talking shlt to justify Team Poshua's low-ball, by insinuating that Parker deserved more than Wilder
Parker does not deserve more than Wilder, even Eddie Hearn just admitted that when he admitted Wilder deserves 35%
Unfortunately, in modern sport, its money that drives the majority of it and what happens behind the scenes just leaves the fans in the dark. Now that the Canelo deal just blew away all other sports earnings, it is clear that boxing is now, more than ever, about earning potential.
Control, Money, whatever you want to call it, what happens in the ring is completely down to the two fighters, yes. But what happens to make those fights is less about what the fighter wants and more down to the money available to make and promote the fight.
There is definitely an argument about whether Wilder has actually earned 50% of a fight with Joshua based on what Wilder has done in his career but that is another argument entirely.
Wilder does not deserve 50%
and imo.....
Wilder is not seriously asking for 50%, and Wilder does not seriously think that he will get 50%..... that was a twitter remark and is obviously just his starting point
when Hearn was negotiating with Parker he started by offering them 20%..... but ended up paying them 32.5%..... Wilder knows this
