that is ******ed fanboy rubbish, and not how life works

when Mayweather offered Pacquiao a flat-fee that was "more than he had ever taken home"..... and when Canelo offered Golovkin a flat-fee that was "more than he had ever taken home"..... I bet you cried like a little girl

it is clearly obvious to every adult human being on the planet, that Wilder deserves more than Parker, who got 32.5%
Then why is the clown saying 50/50 or no fight

60/40 if he beats the coke shell of fury ?

      • Isn't everyone getting away from the point a little here? What Parker got for the fight is purely subjective and relative against how it would sell in UK and NZ, as well as bumping the % to secure the unification. Who cares?! Its done and relative ancient history now.

What Eddie Hearn has done is just plain good business for Matchroom. Some are seeing the 1m US PPV buys as another reason for Matchroom/Joshua to 'duck' Wilder, some are seeing Wilder's demands for 50/50 (or 60/40 depending on what articles you have read) as a duck of Joshua.

Hearn saying 'Sell 1m PPV' isn't making him any money! Why can't it be an incentive (and probably a kick up the a$$) to Finkel & Co to say 'Show me that you can promote this fight better' and 'Show me that you want to make some serious money' ???

Does anyone truly think that he was going to hand over 50% without knowing that his own 50% is going to be massive!? Its a massive fight, Joshua is the clear A side. Holding 3 of the 4 belts for a Unification to become Undisputed champ is the only currency both Joshua and Wilder have to bring to the table.

Conceding ground to Wilder in negotiations isn't any evidence that Hearn/Joshua doesn't want the fight, its clear that, with this offer, they do. Wilder should be instructing Finkel to make this fight and give up his rematch option with Fury. IF Wilder loses to Fury, he'll be kicking himself that he didn't have this deal all wrapped up before, especially now that he would make 50%.

Parker was offered the chance to compete for 2 belts and be unified champion whereas Wilder is being offered the chance to win 3 belts and be the undisputed champion. So there's a greater imbalance in what each champ is bringing to the table in this fight.

            ..... so I called you a dummy

            hope that cleared that up
Ok, at least I understand better where you've been coming from, thanks.

You are mistaking my factual point, reposted by you above, as an excuse. It's nothing of the sort. I was simply pointing out that the relative situation of both fighters was different from the Parker negotiations.

That's why all your subsequent posts about the merits of Parker vs Wilder were so bizarre.

I disagree with what you are saying. There is nothing that Wilder has done, to date, that would warrant him earning or deserving a 50% cut of any fight with Joshua.

I believe that IF Wilder beats Fury, sells 1m US PPV then he will have met the conditions that Hearn has stipulated, therefore Hearn will have GIVEN Wilder 50%.

                  • Give Wilder %10 for every 100k buys then. Fighting Wilder is American exposure and could be worth a big Vegas pay day at some point. Could get a trilogy out of it. If the fight happens and stinks...

Unfortunately, in modern sport, its money that drives the majority of it and what happens behind the scenes just leaves the fans in the dark. Now that the Canelo deal just blew away all other sports earnings, it is clear that boxing is now, more than ever, about earning potential.

Control, Money, whatever you want to call it, what happens in the ring is completely down to the two fighters, yes. But what happens to make those fights is less about what the fighter wants and more down to the money available to make and promote the fight.

There is definitely an argument about whether Wilder has actually earned 50% of a fight with Joshua based on what Wilder has done in his career but that is another argument entirely.
