Is there much buzz about Wilder v Fury in the US? How many PPV buys do Americans on here think it does?

I think it’ll be hurt in the U.K. by the fight time, so won’t pull in masses of casuals, but should do ok. Nothing spectacular. Fury doesn’t have a reputation of being an incredibly exciting fighter to watch (certainly not one to warrant staying up until the early hours for).

Did Wilder actually say he wanted 60%? This is why Eddie says the stuff he says, because so many fans like you never question or put context into what he says. This article is based on a rant in which he says IF Wilder expects to get 50-60%. You guys interpret that as Wilder said he wants 60%. Also, notice he hasn't made public what % he offered recently.

One could even make the arguement that Fury has carried Wilder through current promotions. He is just difficult to market.

No you couldn't make that argument. Fury is not a big name in the United States. It takes both of them to promote the fight.

If wilder sparks out fury in impressive fashion, he may have a claim to getting close to 50/50. Otherwise he should take 40%.

If Wilder beats Fury, the Edwina better come up with a proper offer. Wilder loses, then there is no fight with AJ.

Actually... I can't argue any of that. I could defend a 60/40 split in Joshua's favor as being totally warranted as Wilder brings a better name than Parker (no one knew who Parker was except his homeland fans and boxing enthusiasts), a belt, and the lineal HW title so long as he handles Fury. But Parker brought a title as well so your numbers are fair.

And Deontay doesn’t even bring American fans. Well maybe in the last 6 months. He is more known in the U.K. than America. However, who cares how well they both are. .... All that really matters is how well are you paid and how many belts do you have in order to generate more money.✌🏿
