I think Tank went with Floyd because he's the best self promoter on the planet but he didn't count on Floyd's ego. Example, when Floyd heard about Canelo's 300 mil deal he went after Canelo because Floyd can't stand someone else in the limelight. Think about it, it's the only reasonable explanation. Floyd is a great self promoter but so far he's been a terrible promoter of other fighters. If Floyd has a personal grudge against another promoter he seems too willing sacrifice his fighter like a pawn, just to hurt the person he doesn't like. As a promoter, you have to do what's best for your fighter and that's not in Floyd's DNA.

That was a weird comment by Tank to me. And if its true it might suggest this Tank vs Floyd beef has been going on longer then I thought.

I thought this sh^t just popped up primarily with the Floyd vs McConor undercard fight which Tank didn't seem to take seriously & Floyd was mad about. I knew there was minor sh^t with Tank not wanting to move to Vegas, but I didn't think those disagreements were THAT serious.

The Vegas situation was major. Floyd was trying to get him away from bad influences in Bmore. Set him up with a house for him and his family. Tank messed that up and owed Floyd some money off that.

It didn't sound THAT major to me. It didn't lead to Tank sitting for long periods of time.

I think Floyd obviously wanted Tank in Vegas for various reasons, but again to me while I can understand where Floyd could've been coming from with that you gotta let a man be a man.

If a mfer woulda told Floyd he needed to stay in Michigan back in the day instead of moving to Las Vegas that woulda been his right to still leave Michigan. As far as I'm aware no one forced decisions on Floyd like that & I know when certain things were forced on him he'd make it known that he wasn't bowing down & often that led to mistakes he learned from. He had issues with Arum before that led to him sitting for awhile to (believe that time previous to his Augustus Emanuel fight was the longest).

Everyone should be allowed to learn from their mistakes. And if you are trying to keep a dude down over his own personal decisions that don't really have any impact on you you aren't learning from your own mistakes one might could argue.

It sounds like Tank is just in "thank you sir may I have another" mode with fighting. And Floyd isn't feeding him. The only fights I think are really competitive are the Loma fight (& he's not even at 130 anymore) & Berchelt fight (idek who he's affiliated with these days or if that fight is makeable or not). Tank sounded fine with the Mares fight that may or may not be still happening & I think that was a solid fight since Mares has a quality name that enhances Tank's resume.

So if everybody wanted the Mares fight, what are the reasons for it not happening. Literally haven't heard anything since Mayweather said ok let's make it happen and announced it in social media. Since then Tank got arrested for fighting in DC (does that sound like a guy focused on his career) last month.
