The build up would get a lot of interest, they would market it like Khabib was able to do to Conner what Floyd also did so now it's time to see who's the best and casual fans would eat that ***** up.

Who cares? This thing is more like a circus act than a real boxing match. Mayweather belongs to yesterday and so does Pacquiao. Unless these two are going to fight someone like Spence or other top-level fighters, WHO CARES?

Both guys will earn a few PR points over this bla-bla-bla and will go back to where they are today. There will be no fight...$200m? Give me a break, no way Khabib can have such draw. It was Conor who delivered to Floyd that crazy payday, Khabib is just not that much of a name for that. It could be an interesting fight from a sportsmanship perspective (since Floyd is old and all), but Floyd is so much past "sportsmanship" that only $$$ can draw him out of his retirement. And that's just not going to happen... If Floyd wanted to fight for the sake of a fight he could have tried GGG at 154. That would be fun and deliver bigger numbers than Khabib at least.

I probably wouldn't tune in to watch Floyd vs Pacman II but someone would. I don't think either of them should be fighting prime champs now. Why? They are way past it, they earned their right to just make money at this point. If Floyd truly was confident and wanted to make $200mil he'd fought Canelo, but I think we can all agree that Canelo at this stage would demolish Floyd.

(Pretty sure it would shatter PPV records... lol)
He'll get shattered himself as well

Floyd beat up a young inexperienced Canelo. Canelo is better now and Floyd is old. Let Canelo beat up Floyd now. Good fight young versus Old.

It's unlikely that fighting GGG or even Canelo could generate numbers as big as fighting Khabib. The Conor-Khabib fight sold more buys than both Canelo-GGG fights combined. Also, the Conor-Khabib fight almost doubled Conor's last MMA fight, so Khabib was responsible for a large portion of those buys.

And this was back when Khabib was only known to hardcore MMA fans. After demolishing Conor and especially his post-fight antics, Khabib has gone mainstream and has become known to millions of casuals. His Instagram following, for example, has tripled from 4M to 13M in 2 weeks, and is now more than twice as large as both GGG and Canelo combined.

Floyd knows how to make money, and has always been good at predicting how much money he would make. His $200 million prediction for fighting Khabib might sound crazy, but it's actually very believable.

Interesting take, these are good points. I still think that the promotion will be boring because of Khabib, but the fight should be fun. And it might well eclipse Conor`s. I feel Conor's star is in decline now and Khabib might be the next UFC golden boy. Still doubt he will beat Floyd though.

Floyd fights him with MMA rules - absolutely - $200 mil easy.

Take my $100 for the PPV right now if that happens.

But it won't. And Khabib will never agree to a pure boxing match. So let's move on and get ready for Mayweather-Pacquiao 2 in May.
