I wanna know the specifics of the PBC deal. As in which fighters will be on Fox and what fighters will be on Showtime. They are both going to want the A side fighters. If Haymon gives one side more A spiders than B sides they could backout/not renew with PBC.
Arum: Showtime will leave boxing within the next year

NO Arum!
The difference between with Showtime is that they started building up their APP years ago while other Networks was still worried about their Network Ratings. CBS/Showtime App is closing in on 8 Million Subs way head of their own expectations on pace to reach 18 Million Subs by 2022 while other Networks are just now building up and focusing on building up their APP and are playing from behind compared to CBS/Showtime APP
The Future is in OTT Distribution which is why AMAZON Owner keeps getting richer and richer, NOT Cable/Satellite Distribution. CBS/Showtime is way head when it comes to understanding that while others are still fighting a losing battle trying to gain or maintain their NETWORK SubscribersLast edited by sicko; 10-17-2018, 09:50 AM.Comment

I once got suspended from a job for failing a customer survey even though all my other metrics were good. And the ****ed up part is it was an automated call survey and the dumb bastard was trying to give me all 10's but when he'd hit the "1" it registered as a 1. The call told the customer on a scale of 1-9 with 9 being the highest. But in his mind 10 was the highest because that's usually how it works. So yea, these companies take these survey very seriousComment

The WBA has had world titles & super titles for nearly 20 years now and clearly don't intend to stop any time soon. I've talked to Berto about it and he said promoters have begged him to keep the super titles.Comment

I was PISSED!! Because I knew it was a mistake so I fought it and we found out what really happened.
So this dude Yammy trying to downplay these surveys is falling on deaf ears with me. If they were of no significance then companies wouldn't spend millions a year on them.Comment

You old bastards can kick rocks!!!!!!
No, but there has to be a happy medium here. No doubt streaming is a big part of the present and will be a bigger part of the future. But that doesn't mean televisions are going to go out of existence. Those that succeed in the long run will apply both.
I get your point. I understand the shift to apps, but at what cost? Is everything just apps and PPV then that means I essentially can only watch the sport at home.
While I do that with friends, I enjoy going out to watch fights because you interact with different fans than if you just watch at home with guests.
Sometimes you just want to go out you know.Comment

Yep. This is when I was working for Time Warner cable. Their system was 1-9 with 9 being the highest. I knew I had given that guy great service. Was an older gentleman and I sat down with him and drank some coffee and went over everything until he understood it all. But Time Warner had a strict policy that if you fail a survey you are suspended for a day for your first offense. Then harsher penalties the 2nd and 3rd times.Comment
