It's really weird that Spence is pretty inactive. I have no problems with him fighting B/C level guys until he gets his shot against Thurman, Danny, and Porter. BUT he should be fighting every 3 months or so if the competition level is gonna be low.

Gamboa was a good fight and so were the two unification bouts for Crawford. Spence has Brook and that is about it for either guy.

Gamboa was a good fight but lets be honest, guy was wayyyy too small for Crawford. Other than that he has some OK fights but nothing spectacular. For me he is not P4P no.1 due to his resume.

Spence has Brook and thats it.

They need to step it up.

jow is Gamboa way to small? His career steered st lightweight and he moved down to feather where he won a title. He fights at 135 right now. Crawford started at 135. So if spence beats crawford in a hypothetical future fight then do you say let’s be honest, crawford is way too small cuz he started at 135 while Spence has always been a big welterweight?

Man why can't they just get a decent fight for him.
Even if he needs to go to 154 and fight Lara, Charlo or even trout.
Surely he can step up and come back down when the fights are their.
Canelo going for it so should Spence.

I don’t think he’d ever fight either Charlo brother since he’s close with both of them. A Trout fight is pointless at this point. He lost his last 3 out of 4 fights. The Lara fight would be really good though. I think Spence needs to push for better fights more. It feels like fighters today just do as their told & don’t push hard enough to make these fights. If Spence & Crawford both really wanted the fight now where they both flat out refuse to fight anyone else until it’s made than it would have a way better chance of happening.

After Ugas it has to be Porter, Thurman or Crawford. There’s no one else left. If he can’t get any of those fights than it’s time to move up in weight.
