Yeah that kind of thing does work sometimes, and you can say the bad blood between him and Crawford has made that fight more interesting. But this incident with Plant won't affect anything, casual boxing fans won't see it or care, it won't add a single TV viewer or ticket sale.

Not the same thing. It was a MEDIA DAY and Crawford was there to trash talk right before he entered the same ring to show his skills in front of the media. If you want to hype up a fight do it at a press conference or media day and Benavidez had the better lines so he won the trash talk. Trash talk is one thing, to show up unexpected with your crew, step to his face and clearly looking for a fight is another thing. This was not to hype up the fight. This was personal and I can't co-sign that crap.
