Because Gatti was famous, not because of his skills. So was Hatton. That's why I don't take this HOF crap that seriously.

I believe it. You just can’t inflict that much damage that fast. I remember watching legendary nights on hbo and they said Taylor was pissing blood after the fight. I mean if he really hit that hard he would’ve been more of a one punch KO kinda fighter.

Taylor should had used defense in that last round. Loaded gloves or not. Idk man I never liked Chavez. Now this kinda making me bad. That fight ruined his career.

I think a stoppage win over Kostya Tszyu is a better win than anything Rafael Marquez has achieved so I'm not sure what the criteria of HOF is

Gatti is not even a household name like that. You can make a case on the east coast Micky Ward is more famous because of the Mark Walburge / Christian Bale movie. Fat Dan made this huge campaign about Gatti and he got voted in. That was a shame he was only big in jersey and he was a sub par brawler. What's next we going to vote in David Lemeiux Cuz he's big in Canada and has some ko reels? It's a damn joke.

Hall of fame isn't and shouldn't be entirely based on list of achievement in boxing.
For example, Gatti didn't have a stellar record but he did reach people way beyond hardcore fans, his career borne life long interest in boxing to those who would never have been brought into the clique.
                  Same goes for Hatton.
Some people bring an excitement to boxing which many better equipped fighters can never do. Why, I don't know, but it's a fact.

Ok, you asked. And you seemed confident.

Here’s The Ring Cruiserweight current P4P rankings. The US has one fighter, at no.8 in the list. What a display of American dominance....

You are suggesting that an all time great fighter famous for his punching power may have used illegal wraps with no proof what so ever. The rules of pro boxing are a boxer must wrap his hands in front of a member of the boxing commission and a member of his opponent's team. Then the gloves are marked and sealed. This makes it nearly impossible to cheat if these rules are followed. A heavy handed boxer like Chavez or Margarito who lands a large number of head punches can do tremendous damage without help from illegal wraps. Margarito was caught by these rules before the Mosley fight. There is no proof Margarito used illegal wraps before the Mosley fight. Only assumptions.
