On the Top Rank side things aren't as bleak as people are portraying. Sure, it's going to be hard to get a Spence or Thurman fight but as you say Adames looks the part and maybe in 12-18 months that will be a good opponent.
Ramirez won't be at 140 forever. Maybe he fights Saucedo and then the winner is a very attractive option. Same for the winner of the WBSS. The winner will likely be an undefeated unified champion with some star power too if it's Taylor or Prograis.
As far as Bud's next immediate fight? It's likely to be Kavaliauskas I guess or if the WBO enforce a mandatory Calyton. Kavaliauskas isn't a big name nor does he have a following but he's a pretty good fighter but obviously time is coming for Bud to fight a "name" opponent and it's hard to imagine folks being too enthused by a fight like that.
I just hope it's a quick turnaround from this fight to the next because some of those 140 champions will be available in the summer and beyond if no deal can be worked with Haymon.
