On the Top Rank side things aren't as bleak as people are portraying. Sure, it's going to be hard to get a Spence or Thurman fight but as you say Adames looks the part and maybe in 12-18 months that will be a good opponent.

Ramirez won't be at 140 forever. Maybe he fights Saucedo and then the winner is a very attractive option. Same for the winner of the WBSS. The winner will likely be an undefeated unified champion with some star power too if it's Taylor or Prograis.

As far as Bud's next immediate fight? It's likely to be Kavaliauskas I guess or if the WBO enforce a mandatory Calyton. Kavaliauskas isn't a big name nor does he have a following but he's a pretty good fighter but obviously time is coming for Bud to fight a "name" opponent and it's hard to imagine folks being too enthused by a fight like that.

I just hope it's a quick turnaround from this fight to the next because some of those 140 champions will be available in the summer and beyond if no deal can be worked with Haymon.

I think its a rough road to fight a non-TR guy. So its most likely going to be a TR guy. Could be some guy who's a low level PBC/Matchroom/random promotion guy, but I think another TR guy is still the favorite to get the call up.
Crawford has been mostly fighting non TR guys if you check his resume. Only Benavidez, Beltran and at the time Postol were TR. Horn was on the last option TR had on him. Lundy, Klimov, Burns, Molina, Diaz, Dulorme, Dierry Jean, etc were all non TR guys.

What they need to do is set up a big fight vs Khan or Brook winner next year but then we got same problem of does it go ESPN or DAZN

Uncle Bob should use his pull with the WBO to make Adames vs Clayton

of course. Don't be shocked if it's mike Alvarado and Crawford fans will say 'he's still got something left'

I can't see brook going to 147 anymore for anyone other than Khan. And I think hes taking that fight with the belief that even though he's drained and will look sloppy he should be able to plant one on Khans poppadom chin at some point

Top Rank's 140lbs scene is warming up... Ramirez will be a future Crawford opponent at some point.
