Translation: We the WBC want those license fees from AJ, Hearn and the 90k stadium because Wilder has only fought in front of 13k at best.
WBC wants Wilder/Fury winner facing Joshua!

They haven't ordered the fight. The OP is mistaken.
But the WBC does have a mechanism to order a unification. Other champions are able to win the diamond title and then the WBC can order their world champion to face the diamond champion, thus forcing a unification. This is what happened with Stevenson and Kovalev and just happened with Russell and Santa Cruz.Comment

You must not know how it works huh? It doesn't matter how many ppl AJ has fought infront of. There is a max any sanctioning organization can get for fees. Canelo makes way more money and fights in smaller arenas and still would pay the same amount that either AJ or Wilder would pay.Comment

Once a fighter is making 10 million, their sanctioning fee is the same whether they make 10 million or 100 million.
Wilder will be making 10 million for the Fury fight.Comment

He started promoting sports in early 1970's and still is today. He changed the face of many sports in the U.K and worldwide including darts, snooker and even 8 ball pool. Barry Hearn is one of the most successful sports promoters to come out of the U.K EVER! I think they know what they are doing!Comment

Is the ten million substantiated ? I would find that contradictory of wilder considering he did state in his own words that 15 million was crack head money he was offered to face Joshua.Comment

I'm not saying Wilder won't be making more than 10 million, I'm just saying he's making more than 10 million and therefore the WBC sanctioning fee is the same whether he fights Joshua or Fury.
The WBC wants an undisputed champion because they know it'll increase the value of the heavyweight division and that their belt is the least likely to get ditched by the new undisputed champion when all the mandatories come rolling in.Comment
