Crawford re-signed with Top Rank because they were willing to pay him the most. Just like Tim Bradley, Top Rank pays him more than he'll ever be able to generate. Crawford isn't a draw. But he is a great fighter and it would have been devastating to Top Rank's thin roster to lose him.

Had he gone to PBC, yes there would have been big fights against Porter, Thurman, Spence, Garcia etc, but he wouldn't have necessarily made any more than he'd make fighting the Benavidez's of the world with Top Rank. It was smart business for Crawford to stay put, even if it's frustrating for boxing fans that it means he won't be fighting any of the top guys.
Yeah his manager says he's getting a salary now and $3 million guaranteed no matter the opponent.

the floyd fans have been very vocal about manny re-signing with arum in the past even going as far as calling manny "******" and a "puppet".

but to be fair, when pac first signed with arum and top rank, there was never any proof that arum was ripping floyd and oscar off. the floyd fans used to say arum was holding floyd back and wouldnt make the fight that matters. but there was never proof that arum was ripping TBE off.

now with crawford, even after pac came out and said that he hasnt been paid for his fights, etc. even after seeing all this, why the hell did crawford re-signed with arum and top rank? can his fans explain this to me?

is crawford hiding behind arum and top rank? did he re-signed so he can be safe where he's at on the other side of the streets fighting bums? and when asked why he didnt fight the other guys he can always bounce back on the excuses that they are with a different promoter. is this why he re-signed with the devil?
Manny didn't say he never got paid by Top Rank for his fights smh. He said that he hadn't got his US tv rights for the Matthysse fight which he was later paid once all the paperwork was signed.

Floyd and Oscar never said they were ripped off at Top Rank either. What they said was that they could make more on their own and they were right. Certain guys can be their own promoters like Floyd and Oscar and make a ton of money but 90% of fighters can't.

That's why even a superstar like Miguel Cotto left and came back to Top Rank and later went to RNS. He wasn't quite big enough to do it all on his own.

As for Crawford his minimum is over $3,000,000 a fight. He has the best deal in boxing outside of Canelo, GGG and Joshua. He can fight as many times a year as he wants and make over 3 mil. So he can easily bank close to 10 mil a year. Besides the three guys I mentioned no one else is doing that.

Actually he does. Just look at the last three years

        Crawford 2018 2 fights 2017 2 fights 2016 2 fights

        Spence 2018 2 fights 2017 1 fight 2016 2 fights

        So who fought more?

Crawford will get three fights next year but maybe Spence will too now that there are more PBC dates with Fox but to say Crawford doesn't fight more, especially since both have become champions, is a bald face lie.

But you're arbitrarily choosing "three years."

          If you choose:

          "One year"

          or

          "Two years"

          or

          "Four years"

It's the same amount of fights for each of them.

Okay lets do apples and apples. Who has fought more often since they have been world champions? Who has averaged more fights during their championship reigns?

You're still choosing arbitrary criteria to support your illegitimate argument.

I could just as easily say who has fought more often this year? Spence has fought twice. Crawford has fought once. Pretty silly to be going on and on about how much more often Crawford fights when they're both twice a year fighters now.

nah crawford himself said he’s getting in the ring three times next year. Just like lomachenko would have if he didn’t get hurt and like champions Gilberto Ramirez and Ancajas and dogboe did this year. Oh my bad dogboe is fighting FOUR times this year. Three of which are as a champ.

so manny didnt hired vision quest to look into his financial because he felt arum was ripping him off? this never happen? i mean the floyd fans didnt go on for years saying arum is ripping pac off? this is not a secret.

where as for floyd and oscar when they were with arum. they never had any incident like this. most of the floyd fans said arum was holding floyd back and wouldnt make the fight that matters, but there was never any mention about arum ripping floyd off.

Top fighters say that all the time and it rarely happens. In the ESPN era, Crawford has fought twice a year both years.

If he wants to fight three times next year, he will, but most fighters at his level simply don't want to subject themselves to 30 weeks of training camp in the same year.

If Spence wants to fight three times next year, he will. PBC will have more dates than they'll know what to do with.
