I am sorry but I have very little sympathy for him. He wasn't willing to give Canelo Alvarez the benefit of the doubt.

Besides, the ingredient was not Oxilofrine it was the substance. That's why it is currently banned by the NCAA, NFL and Major League Baseball 365 days of year and 24/7.

Which in this case was VADA and the U.S. Which so happens to be the gold standard of Anti-Doping testing; So he could avoid situations like this in the future.

BJ Saunders said it himself, if you get busted with PEDs you should be banned for life! What BJ Saunders took was 10 times stronger than what clenbuterol and BJ Saunders said you should be banned for life if you take Clenbuterol.

You and Conte would have a point .. if oxilofrine was listed as an ingredient of the nasal spray BJS used. Going by the VADA statement, it wasn't listed as an ingredient:

"oxilofrine may have resulted from the administration of ephedrine which was also detected but below the decision limit of 11ug/ml. The estimated concentration of ephedrine is 4.6 ug/ml."

If oxilofrine wasan't listed as an ingredient, then both you and Conte are talking rubbish. BJS is a boxer, not a chemist. How was he supposed to know that taking a legal dose of ephedrine could make someone test positive for oxilofrine?

He was also charged with PED abuse by NSAC, the commission responsible for sanctioning the fight, and found to be guilty after an enquiry.

No, the only substance flagged by VADA was oxilofrine. And they said it could have been there because of a legal dose of ephedrine.

VADA have a duty to report their test results, and it's up to the sanctioning and licensing commisions to decide whether to bring charges because of those results.
