If BJS B sample came back clear he's in the clear under VADA rules. Refusing to give him a license can only be corruption. Hearn got to them or wanting to give the hometown fighter an easy title. Disgusting
Massachusetts commission corruption.

The problem is Saunders team admitted to taking the substance immediately. Their defense was yeah we took it but it was out of competition then in the last hour the second sample came back so hard to argue a procedure technicality when you already told the world yes we were using the illegal substance.
The cancelation of his mandatory defense against Demetrius Andrade hasn’t cost Billy Joe Saunders his WBO middleweight title – not yet, anyway. WBO president Paco Valcarcel told ESPN.com on Tuesday that his organization will sanction an Andrade-Walter Kautondokwa fight for its interim middleweight title because it will afford Saunders an opportunity to appeal the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission’s denial of his license application with the WBO. The Massachusetts commission’s decision Tuesday caused the cancelation of the Saunders-Andrade fight October 20 at TD Garden in Boston.
England’s Saunders (26-0, 12 KOs) and Andrade signed agreements to adhere to VADA’s testing standards. Saunders and his handlers argued that he tested positive for oxilofrine because it’s present in a nasal spray Saunders used, but the Massachusetts commission still denied his license applicationLast edited by bigdunny1; 10-09-2018, 08:28 PM. -
If they denied taking it from day 1 and said he took nothing the test is wrong and we will be proven innocent when the second sample comes back maybe. But they were certain the second sample was dirty and admitted to taking the drug lol they went into damage control mode and already had their excuse for why he was taking the drug so hard to now flip flop and say well he took nothing forget what we already admitted to and just look the second sample.Comment

BJS admitted to using a nasal spray which contained the ephedrine. He did not admit to taking oxilofrine.Comment

I think it's the fact that this commission doesn't have many big fights. Can't think of a big fight there since Hagler vs. Monroe Sr. II. An experienced commission like Nevada, NY, or Cali would've handled this differentlyComment

It seems ridiculous to me that a substance in a nasal spray that anyone can buy over the counter should be banned in the first place. If it's so potent and effective it should only be available with a doctor's prescription.I think sometimes those in power get carried away busting everybody for every thing in the name of cleaning up the sport. A perfectly good and logical fight between two of the world's top middleweights is dead now. They should have let Saunders fight and just test him hard between now and the fight. Now Andrade will almost certainly fight someone not as good as Saunders. It would be nice if Andrade fought Jermall but that is far too logical to ever happen in today's boxing world.Comment

their are rules and they should apply to all fighters not a select few.... he knew it was illegal because it was on the list given to him and his team and he choose to break the rules still....i think you have to set a standard and i salute this commission.Comment
