Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz Accepts Dillian Whyte's Offer To Fight on 12/22 in UK

Last week top heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz responded to comments that were made by his rival Dillian Whyte to Sky. "I offered to fight Ortiz years ago, but he didn't want to know. He didn't even want to know this summer and asked for silly money coming off his knockout loss to Wilder, and made it clear that he wouldn't be ready for July 28, which was the date we had available," said Whyte.

Would love for this fight to happen but highly doubtful. Whyte could be in line for a big rematch against Joshua and Hearn isn't going to risk that. This just pressures Chisora to come off on some of his demands and make the Whyte fight for December.

Will the WBC sanction this as the final-eliminator that Dillian Shyte ducked a couple months ago?

Was it even feasible to do that fight on the wilder fury undercard?

Whyte just had a ppv with more than 400k buys, so i reckon he gets pretty healthy paychecks nowadays.

Those rumored undercard fights like santa Cruz vs Russell jr and Mares vs davis were shot down pretty quickly, because those fights were too expensive to put on an undercard.

Bring it on for december. Thats a pretty good fight and respect to those heavyweights for taking risky fights.

Either the fight is on, or PBC know that a Whyte/Chisora announcement is imminent and they are trying to score another PR victory.

The Brits can't afford that to happen...AGAIN! Hearn has to make this fight to save face!
