If these were Top Rank fighters, this comment section would be filled with Arum hate but Haymon gets a pass! Mikey is fighting another low level fighter as usual & Spence will fight another Acampo while Porter will recycle another Berto/Thurman fight! At the same time, some people believe Crawford should leave Arum so he can get the big fights "on the other side of the street"! GTFOH! This has been the pbc blueprint for years but people forget about this because they have so much hate for Arum & Hearn! Fake azz boxing fans!

More pbc bullshiiiit as usual! Meanwhile, ufc just put on a blockbuster show because their mega star Conner McGregor jump into the octagon from a long layoff to fight the real champ in his division. No tuneup, no other side of the street bull*****, just the best vs best!

Nope, Spence is not Ranked by the WBC. The WBC cannot order anyone to fight Spence unless he is ranked, or holds a WBC belt, which he doesn't.

But Spence may actually face Crawford next if he gets no fight but it would be a good look for Porter to defend on the undercard of Wilder vs Fury against Spence Ugas or Thurman if he took that fight
Spence is not ranked by the WBC, he is not in line for the belt. WBC won't even consider Spence unless he fights in a WBC sanctioned event against a WBC ranked fighter, or he petitions at the monthly meeting to be ranked, both of which are subject to WBC's panel of governors vote.

Didn't Ugas just win some sort of eliminator?

Keith won the fight solely on clean punching alone because Porter was the effective aggressor for most of the entire night; While backing and pinning Keith along the ropes. However, not once did Thurman ever hurt Shawn or had him in any kind of trouble.

After a two year layoff, with no tuneups in between, I got to favor Porter in this match up. This will be Thurman's first bout coming back from his long ring hiatus. Obviously, his timing is going to be rusty and not as sharp as they should be.
Man I question if you even saw the fight. First, most had Thurman winning, there was and is a tiny minority who had it for Porter. Second just coming forward and jumping in is not effective aggression. Thurman won off of clean punching, and ring generalship, both of which trump ineffective aggression. By your own admission, Thurman landed the cleaner punches, which implies that Porter did not, which further reveals that Porters offense was not up to par with Thurman's, which are all factors of ineffective aggression. Thurman hurt Porter multiple times in the fight, this is a case of you seeing what you wanted to see. The decision was unanimous, all ring side observers had it for Thurman. Punch stats Thurman landed one less punch, and threw far less for a much higher percentage of landed punches.

                Thurman - landed 235 - threw 539 - 44%

                Porter - landed 236 - threw 662 - 36%

                Dan Rafael

"Thurman, whose purse was $1.4 million, had a huge fourth round, rocking Porter with a left hook and followed up with a right hand and uppercut that buckled Porter's knees. For the round, Thurman landed 16 of 27 power shots and sent Porter back to his corner looking a bit out of it."

"They went to the ropes and engaged in an extended exchange, with Porter getting the better of it. But Thurman responded with a huge left hook to the head that wobbled Porter."

"In the 10th round, Thurman buckled Porter with a left hook with about 15 seconds left. Porter was wobbled and nearly went down but came back to land his own shots during the furious final seconds of the round."

Maybe you thought you were watching Thurman vs. Porter? lol just joking, but yeah, you're way off on this one.

What fight were you watching? Keith had Shawn hurt 3-4 times during the fight.

I'll admit that it was a close fight but Porter wasn't remotely close to being dropped, stopped or knocked out by Keith Thurman. From my recollection, It was Porter who was the aggressor backing Keith up against the ropes while pinning there for long stretches.

Sure, Keith landed more than his share of counter punches in the process but Porter kept throwing and coming forward without ceasing. In my opinion, he performed better against Keith Thurman than he did against Danny Garcia.
