honestly i dont know, all i know my mom who is 100% percent Mexican always told me and my brothers not to allow any Mexican to call us pocho, my dad would laugh it off, but he too said its not ment in kindness when somone calls a Mexican-American a pocho.

but then again times have changed, and i've hear pisas call each other pisas, and growing up those were fighting words.

            I see..

            What's a pisa?

Also, I heard that chicano isn't a "nice" thing to call someone either.

I heard it's an insult that "real" mexicans use on mexicans and half mexicans that are born here.

            Is that true?

A pisa{sp} is a bad word, used against the illegal Mexican immagrant.

Some Mexican-Americans are insulted by being called Chicanos, why i don't know, could be that they see Chicano as a militant word, you won't hear a Mexcican-American in a office scene consider himself a Chicano but an American, or American-Mexican.

Chicano came from the old way Mexican used to be spelled by our Mexica ancesters, Mexikano = XIKANO, noramly recognized as Chicano, that x in nahuatal is spelled in ch or s, and k, becomes c, so you get Chicano. Theirs varios storys of where Chicano came from but i think those are bs, and the one i explained the one that is clearly in view as correct in my opinon.

i think the story itself of Chicano and how is got its orgins other then what i described is all to bash the word Chicano, so people wouldn't use it or consider themselfs a Chicano.

if you want more history of the meaning of Chicano you can get some books at a library and get some books about the Chicano Movement of years past, im sure you'll get some info their.

JOSE LUIS CASTILLO not making weight
MARQuez losing to CHRIS JOHN(i belive) and not getting any big fights
Barrera not looking so good against Juarez
MARGARITO cant get a fight, wit anyone
Vargas lost, otra ves(not to bad,he had a decent fight)
first half hasnt been so good for mexican boxing, tha things going good are DE LE HOya's big W over Mayorga, Marquez staying on top,Larios getting a shot at PAC(deadly fight, which could b another mexican loss)
These are good examples, but on the bright side it looks like Juarez could have a bright future, and hopefully Juan Diaz as well. There has been talks of Bojado coming back. If he can get his head right he still has a lot of talent and potential. Oscar's win was big. I am curious to see who is gonna step up with Oscar,Barerra,Morales, and some of these older guys heading toward the end of there careers. What do you think?

its complicated its like tha mexican crips/bloods, but they started ****ing b4 crips n bloods.
nortenos- started and from northern cali, claim x4(14th letter is N for Nuestra Familia prison norteno gang) wear red.
surenos- started in southern cali, wear blue claim x3(13th letter is M, for MEXICAN MAFIA)
tha dividing line in Cali is around bakersfield, so mexican gangs north of there put x4 after tha name of there gang for ex. SAN JOSEx4, there nortenos easy to tell cuz of tha x4. and also, u got INGLEWOODX3, a sureno gang. you cand find surenos up north as they have migrated and started there own clicks, which is boosting the crime rate in tha bay area. down south, its dam near impossible to find a norteno. most of tha fueding is done in prison, as they have been enemys for what 40 years? both of these gangs have migrated to most states over US. wherever theres mexicans, u best belive theres nortenos and surenos.
Surenos are alot larger in size tho, there probably the biggest gang in the U.S. there killing bloods and crips off left and right in LOS ANGELES.
