Ortiz has a definite slot for a PPV undercard on December 1st. He's not even the front runner to face Whyte on December 22nd, by Hearns own words, neither is Ortiz guaranteed a fight against Whyte. Yet there's a whole lot of people on here suggesting Ortiz should pull out his December 1st guarantee. How fhucking ridiculous is that premise. December 1st is less than 2 months away, if Hearn is not even negotiating Ortiz vs Whyte, then Ortiz needs to move on and secure an opponent for December 1st. My hope is it's Breazeale or Parker. If Hearn were already negotiating for Ortiz/Whyte on December 22nd, and it looked like a sure thing, then, and only then, should Ortiz pull out of the Wilder vs Fury undercard. As well as Hearn should consider having Whyte fight Ortiz on the undercard because that's business, that's negotiating. Out right dismissing something with out discussions or consideration is in reality revealing a reluctance to actually making the fight.

Why would any fan be upset or disappointed that Wilder Fury and Whyte Ortiz were on the same card?

Ortiz is staying on that December 1 card in case of any Tyson Fury shenanigans (positive test, ******* relapse, real or fake injury, mental breakdown, etc).

Originally posted by Ray* View PostBecause Whyte/Ortiz would not happen as an undercard fight. So they should care, that fight would definitely get more noise as a main event. If you are Team Whyte you would not go from headlining a PPV to fighting on an undercard of a fighter who has never headline a PPV himself. So yeah for any reasonable fan who hopes this fight happens should pray they came to a deal to headline their own card, not be stuck fighting under some Chavez v TBA as a co-main event.

I don’t know what is so difficult to understand, Ortiz/Whyte fighting in their own PPV as the headliners, not Ortiz fighting on another undercard or Whyte fighting Chisora. These two if possible should get that fight deal done (If possible).

What better way to set it up then by featuring them both on the same card?
It makes too much sense. But when one side is terrified of taking a loss you can't really force them into the ring.

What is he afraid of? I thought he said King Kong was just an old man?
Ortiz won't take it though. The hype job who's done nothing will fight yet another bum who no one has ever heard of. Whyte can get his rematch with Chisora that everyone is calling for.
