Beterbiev is just not in fighting mode unfortunately due to his layoffs and wtv
But this man can fight ( I’ve seen and followed the man from day one )
He can put a hurting to anyone in the division without doubt in my mind
Let’s hope now that his legal matter is coming to an end ( although he is appealing the ruling ) he can focus on boxing
And yeah for what it matters , Beterbiev destroys Kovalev before or after Ward
Beterbiev just hits too fughin hard for Kovi to handle and imo , his style is all wrong for Kovi especially now that we’ve seen the exposure
Beterbiev hits hard from the first round and just keeps walking you down making Kovi an afterthought before four rounds
And no Kovi shots ( although he does hit hard ) would not be the difference

He needs methid to his madess like GGG not just plain madess. He charges in bull in a China shop and gets tagged. To be honest his chin isn't as solid as some of his sparring partners have said. He does have crazy power aand..He needs to fight more
Johnson ****s really hard tho. Beterbiev is reckless but there was some rust. 1 fight in 2 years and 11 months layoff... reflex to protect chin and head movements need more than 4 rounds to come back

Beterbiev was fighting regularly when Ward decided to retire
I personally think Beterbiev downfall will be his lack of fighting
And yes Ward wanted no part of him and I don’t blame him, Beterbiev in his fighting days ( because at the time was fighting regularly ) would put a hurting on Ward without a doubt
Just to rugged and animal like for Ward’s rather typical boxing style
Now if Ward could keep him off , boxing his way to a unanimous decision, that would be his only way but the Beterbiev would be hard to keep away

TBH I think he knocks out anyone into next year... I don't see the KO streak ending soon...

Bivol vs Beterbiev - make it happen. Beterbiev is the harder puncher, but Bivol is the smoother fighter with better foot movement. Hard to pick a winner.

Ward is retired why are people still talking about him?
Ward fans are going to give him credit for victories he never actually got. It reminds me of fans of other fighters that are always giving their favorite fighters credit for victories they never actually got in the ring, just pure speculation.
Ward would need to earn the victories in the ring. You can't say, well Ward would beat Beterbiev, Stevenson, Bivol, Gvozdyk, Jack, etc. Coulda, woulda, shoulda at that point.

Beterbiev could KO Kovalev by the way. It's not like Kovalev doesn't get hit. All of these Light-Heavyweights are there to be hit. Alvarez, who doesn't punch anywhere near as hard as Beterbiev, stopped Kovalev.
They're all open and they're all huge punchers, well most of them. That is why this division is great. It will be fun to watch.
If Kovalev catches Artur first then he will win and vice versa. People need to stop acting like all the other top guys at Light-Heavyweight don't get hit.
What makes Artur so dangerous is that he can generate power from short, middle, and long distance, whereas Kovalev and Stevenson need to extend their arms to generate full power.

                Beterbiev needs to stay active.
He could be ready to go for December if they really wanted to.

My concern about Beterbiev is less about the KD and more about his looking sloppy this time out. He was slow to retract his hands after punching. Body work was garbage (in technique). And, he did some really predictable swaying to dodge shots. Stuff that better boxers could have countered easily.

I still think he's a really solid guy but I'm not sure that I can call him the most talented guy at 175 anymore. He's not as crisp and focused as he was say 2 years ago. Could be a bad camp. Maybe a tougher opponent. But, I hope he takes some high profile fights soon before getting any older.
Bivol is the most talented but Beterbiev is a monster physically. Let's not forget that Johnson is a good fighter himself and hits very hard. It's the first time I have seen Beterbiev really have to fight on the back foot but I thought he did well against someone coming forward, with power and a high guard.

I also think too much was made of the knockdown as he was largely off balance and recovered straight away

Yes! It would be a great fight, I'm a fan of both

Ward is the most protected overrated fighter the networks ever shoved down our throats, and robbed two Russians both Kovalev twice and Beterbiev from fighting him.

Kovalev proved the better fighter in two fights, but corruption to protect any black USA fighter, or half Black is the agenda vs a Russian .

Beterbiev stops Ward no question. Ward tried to fight Bellew but fake retired until another bum comes along he can hold and headbutt all night. Ward fans have the lowest iQ out of any fanbase except wilder fans.
