Beterbiev looks old and stiff just like Kovalev and GGG started to at this age. When will people pay attention to science for once and realize fights have to be made by the age of 30 to 32 at the latest, otherwise the athletes will be past their primes? According to every scientific study you can find, Beterbiev is already one and a half to 4 years past his prime, depending on the study and the sport you think is most comparable to boxing. And we've seen that his last two fights where he started to struggle with guys the same level as he used to completely dominate, just like GGG started to go 11 rounds with guys like Martin Murray and 6 rounds with Willie Monroe Jr (which could have been longer if Monroe Jr kept going) who he used to knock out in 3-4 rounds, and then the decline just accelerated into the Brook and Jacobs fights where he couldn't even knock down a welterweight, and only knocked down Jacobs once with a flash knockdown.

These guys are all past their primes. Just like we saw Kovalev go 12 rounds with Chilemba and gas after 4 rounds in that fight, before gassing after 4 vs Ward both fights, and vs Mikhalkin where he got pushed near to the edge vs someone who isn't a puncher at all.

THESE GUYS ARE PAST PRIME. PERIOD. PROMOTERS NEED TO MAKE FIGHTS WITH GUYS LIKE THAT BEFORE THE AGE OF 33 IN THE FUTURE, OTHERWISE THEY WILL RUIN THE NEXT GENERATION'S CAREERS JUST LIKE THEY RUINED THIS GENERATION'S CAREERS. WAKE UP PROMOTERS, YOU ARE RUINING CAREERS WITH YOUR MARINATING!

I think he good maybe not world class but he belongs as a contender and he beats everyone from 10 downwards. Or did Beterbiev have an off night? Which is possible as he's been inactive since 11 months..imo this will give hope to allot of top fighters that Beterbiev can be hurt and he was hurt.
Please stop putting Kovalev in the equation... He's shot at the higher level and will never overcome the doubt he got in his head
now after being dealt with twice by Ward and completely destroyed by Alvarez... Beterbiev would make jelly out of what's left of him, but I guess he'd love to put a 3rd win on Kovalev...

Kovalev was winning before he got Ko'd imo he still has a solid chance to win against top guys maybe not Bivol or Govik but he still has a chance.

They did ruin his career(or he did it himself). 33 years old and just had nearly a year long layoff for no ****ing reason. His biggest fights should have already been booked atleast 2 years ago. This sport is a joke when it comes to dragging out matchups and having inactive, promising fighters.

maybe not Bivol or Govik, or Stevenson, or Beterbiev, or Alvarez... or Jack for that matter... Ward and Alvarez showed the way, exposed Kovalev... Any top 10 guys trying to exploit those flaws might succeed since the essential part of him is damage... and I talk about confidence...

Let's see how bad he's damaged In the rematch maybe there's still life in the old dog.

This is the guy people said ward retired to avoid. He looked completely garbage against a British bum. Ward would stop him if they fought tomorrow.

Seems blatant and obvious. Once Johnson’s head went through the top and middle ropes during round 1, ref said STOP. That means f ing STOP.

Be that as it may, good win for Beterbiev vs a really tough opponent. I don't think it was close to a best performance, and I still give Bivol, Stevenson, Kovalev excellent chances to beat him. But all 3 of those fights will be excellent.
I think Beterbiev didnt think it was the ref he didnt step in when he said stop, around crowd anybody can say stop. Beterbiev held back when johnson head was in canvas, i dont think hes a dirty fighter

I don't think Johnson is a bum he's not world class but he will give the tops guys problems. But I agree ward would pick him apart and I myself overrated him,( he's open as a hooker on Friday night). He needs method to his madess like GGG not just plain madess. He charges inn like a bull in a China shop and gets tagged. To be honest his chin isn't as solid as some of his sparring partners have said. He does have crazy power he needs to fight more often.
