"Based on past interviews, Wilder's team is not interested in making a deal until after the Fury bout is concluded - and Hearn wants a deal in place prior to the December 1 contest with Fury."

They would be ****** to make the deal now! They have to wait and see how the fight does, and I'm talking revenue, and not the number of fans who attended! Team Wilder has 50 million reasons NOT to meet with Eddie Hearn!

Thanks to both for the comments and examples .

it’s foolish for a fighter and their team to negotiate another fight when he has one lined up even if it is a soft touch ( and this one isn’t )

This sport probably has countless examples of fighters getting to far ahead of themselves planning their next big payday only to lose thenfight they have right ahead of them

You can let Usyk beat Bellew, Chisora, even Whyte, but a Usyk-AJ fight will still not be bigger than a Wilder fight is now or after December 1st when an AJ-Wilder fight will be huge if he is coming off a KO of Fury.

All Usyk can contribute to promotion is a scary stare. Doesn't speak English. Plus Wilder will be very well known to British casuals after the Fury fight.

So you throwing out Usyk's name is just a red herring. It likely will never be a bigger fight than AJ-Wilder unless Usyk somehow got to Wilder first and beat him and that would be hysterical.

AJ will not be doing anything like the numbers he is now if he gets beaten. He'd have to rebuild and take a huge hit in viewers and earnings. He could come back but he'd lose 2/3 years of the astronomical earnings he ha now.

I've been hearing that Fury is going to be training with Abel Sanchez at Big Bear for the fight. If that turns out to be true, it likely means he intends fighting on the front foot, using his weight advantage to push Wilder back, nullify his long right hand and wear him down.

It could work. But will the ref allow Fury to fight like that, or will he be calling "break" every time Tyson gets in close?

Call me cynical, but I'm not expecting either the judges or the ref to be 100% impartial in this fight.

To use a more recent example, Ricky Hatton had a big money return match against Paulie lined up until he got KTFO in an unneeded tune up

Move on Hearn! Throw an offer at Luis Ortiz.

In my head that is how I’ve always expected him to fight.
He did it well against Chisora in their first fight

You’d want to get close to stop that right hand. But then Steve Bunce always talks about how Tyson showed him how he will beat Wlad. He literally just leaned back and said that’s how. But with Wilder’s speed and tentacle arms you’d think he’d not want to do that this time. Wilder will get to him

lol, that will be like sticking half your wedge on either red or black at the roulette table - the only 2 realistic results being Fury winning an ugly points decision, or Wilder catching him once within the 12 rounds to win by KO.
