I agree with your initial point that Inoue's record is pretty thin right now but you're dead wrong about the Bantamweight tournament imo. It has the four most threatening talents in the division all taking part, with the exception of Nery who hasn't yet proven he can make 118 without cheating. It's much better than the Super Middleweight one, in which arguably the three best fighters in the division weren't present (Zurdo, Benavidez and Uzcategui). If Inoue beats Payano, Rodriguez and Tete en route to the trophy then he will have totally justified his hype as far as I'm concerned. Not convinced he will manage it though

Crawford's former opponents have been getting beaten in about the same fashion by supposed lower class fighters than Crawford too.

I like him a hell of a lot. He looks like a damn good fighter for his pounds to me. He is just in the early stag of his career and I don't think he will be losing any fights any time soon. Yes indeed he is on my top 10 pfp list but obviously not on yours. I disagree with you on the worth of this particular boxer but respect your opinion.

I think he is overrated. That is not to say that I don't think he isn't good. I think he will probably win the Bantamweight tournament. I do think highly of him I just don't think he as talented as some other guys in boxing.
I think he will win the tournament, because I just don't think highly of any of the other competitors. Prime Donaire at Bantamweight would win this tournament, but this isn't prime Donaire.
Tete is not built to take big punches. Just go look at his fight against Mthalane, who doesn't punch as hard as Inoue, granted that fight took place at Flyweight and Tete was still in the early stages of his career. I'm still not convinced he will be able to take a hard puncher. Those tall skinny guys are usually not build to take big punches. I think Inoue may just blast him like he did McDonnell, another tall skinny guy.
Unless Tete can keep Inoue away for 12 rounds I just don't see him beating him. Tete will have to target the body, which is wide open, to take some steam out.
Rodriguez may be the best, other than Inoue, but he just barely stepped up in his last fight and it was against Paul Butler. How much information can we really get from that fight?
By the way, Inoue is entering the ring close to what Featherweights are.

Inoue has stamina issues, watch his fight with Petchbarngborn Kokietgym. He was gassing out by the mid rounds and on his last legs in rd 10. If it were Sor Rungvisai in that fight, Inoue would've been taken out. It's probably because his style isn't made to last him 12 rounds, which is why he's so aggressive trying to get early KOs.

Somebody who calls Inoue overrated and yet has Golovkin anywhere near a P4P list knows nothing about boxing.

P4P is meaningless its just something I occasionally play along with. If I had a P4P list GGG wouldn't be top 10 but the point you seem to be missing is he ranks a lot higher in any sense than Inoue.

GGG gets no credit for beating Brook but this guy does for beating fighters that aren't fit to carry Brooks gymbag.
He's just a weight bully fighting guys naturally two divisions smaller.
Mikey Garcia did it, Broner did it and accomplished way more against much better fighters yet they don't get praised like this guy.
If he losses this tournament the excuses will be he climbed up too fast, they'll pretend he's small. Reality will be he's fighting guys closer to his own size that aren't total cans and wasn't half the fighter he was hyped to be.
