Being a GGG fan I have to say Charlo is not being treated fairly by WBC. It would be an interesting fight though if Charlo - GGG happens. But when? GGG wont fight until 2019. Then in spring 2019 against Charlo and Canelo in September? GGG will be 37,5 then. Oscar's strategy of waiting for GGG to walk with a cain into the ring will play out nicely.

He would have made 30 mil fighting Charlo? In what currency? And another question: are you from Earth?

That's EXACTLY what he did. He gave up his title.
Weather you justify it by reasoning that he wanted "to make
sure he will be in shape to fight Canelo" does not change the
fact that he avoided his mandatory and gave up a world title.

The previous poster must have been factoring-in the money
GGG made from the Canelo fight, which he might not have
banked had he lost to Charlo.
I was arguing that he would have made an equal amount for
beating Charlo instead of vanes. An equal amount of money
            and infinite more respect.

Well...how do I put this to you....that's a fact nobody is dis*****g. He is also sponsored by Hublot and Chivas. These are also facts. Is this what we are talking about - what facts we know? Why are you on this forum, to say that the sky is blue? Jeez..

Why everybody think that GGG should fight the top contenders when he is no longer the champion and ginger fight second level fighters? The trilogy is not going to happen. People lost interest in boxing and they prefer the UFC or WWF.

At risk of an injury that would cancel a rematch with Canelo? GGG made smart business move. Not very fan pleasing - yes, but the best for his career. And he set himself and his future generations for life. Rightly so. I would do the same instead of worrying what some fans will think?

And they also ordered a final middleweight eliminator between WBC interim-champion Jermall Charlo and once-beaten Gennady Golovkin. Canelo will have to fight the Charlo vs. Golovkin winner.

now we will find out if Golovkin is about that life

I say that he will pass, and look for another (easier) route

g-string's:..... " waaaah, but ggg (insert whine here) ".....

hard luck lol..... Charlo has gotta eat too ya know, and Golovkin already had two cracks at the champ

I think that they will pass on Charlo..... and fight either Murata, Eubank, or Munguia..... all the while pleading to Canelo through the media with plenty of hype and nonsense

they will take the easy path, as usual
