Hopefully it happens, Haymon needs to stack this card since it’s in LA!
Being beaten out by the woeful Brooklyn Nets at Barclays when the team have no star players is not a good look for the undefeated American champion who’s a KO artist!
They need someone like Mares or Santa Cruz on their, they really messed up with the site but I’m still going and will also buy PPV to support boxing!
The promotions gotta step it up as both Wilder and Fury will no doubt do their part selling the fight!Comment

I think this match up is a bit premature. However when you take into account Joe Joyce's chronological age, then it makes all the sense in the world because he's 33 years old and is not getting any younger.
I personally believes he needs more experience vs Ortiz because Luis just might beat the prime out of him in one night. King Kong has a very good defense and chin which he keeps tucked in most of the time as well as a better counterpuncher.
The risk Joyce faces is leaving himself exposed to Ortiz' counter shots as a he attempts to swarm the older man.Comment

I’m still not convinced on Ortiz. Until he actually beats someone at top end I can’t really judge him; all has down so far is wobble wilder - but even Eric molina did that?
Ortiz could be top5 but for me at the moment I would go:
Joshua
Wilder
Povetkin
Parker
Whyte
I still have parker lightly above Whyte because I think he’s more consistent but obviously given Whyte beat him that’s not obvious.
The likes of Ortiz, Fury, Miller and Zhang could move themselves up there, but for me, they need proven fights first. (Zhang I’m less certain but have watched a couple fights since he was rumoured to be in with Joshua ; hard to judge him fighting nobodies).Comment

I just can't imagine there not being one Latino fighter on the undercard, preferably one from Southern California.3 heavyweight fights on one card if Joyce / Ortiz isn't happening? Can't see that selling well to an audience who has a very deflated interest in that division.
Fans on here may appreciate what Haymon has done for his fighters or the boxing industry in the states in general.. but that isn't going to translate to the casual fan who know very little .
Wilder fury buys arent going to do anywhere near what people think ( transcending an AJ card ) if this is really how that fight card is shaping up
But obviously with the guarantees of both Wilder/Fury, hard to put on a strong UC with big names.Comment
