Would 3 million pay for a $10 Canelo PPV?

How it could work for DAZN to show a Canelo fight, even against Lemieux. Doesnt have to have anything to do with Hearn. Canelo card would be a seperate entity. What is a Canelo fights value to new subscribers brought in, and unsubscribers?

Well clearly if DAZN it would be Hearn. I doubt DAZN would go all out for Canelo though because I don't think they show in Mexico?

Canelo needs a PPV platform to satisfy his purse

Canelo will go for an established network with a true and tried method for success not for some fly by day operation like DAZN, we don't even know if they'll still be here next year.

DAZN isnt Hearn only. They can deal with whoever they like. Theres nothing stopping them from valuing $30mil on a Canelo fight against new subscribers, hed keep 100% off gate and the rest aswell

Do you mean an extra $10 vs the $10 one would already have to be paying for DAZN? Or just $10 one time for one event & its on DAZN as some whole different thing then the regular stuff on DAZN?

I don't see why you couldn't do that as long as you can make the $30M (in this case) or w/e amount pay the fighters purses + give the needed profit for the people behind the scenes/promoters/DAZN.

Idk if thats a thing with streaming platforms yet or not tbh but I could see it happening. Its basically like what HBO did. HBO boxing was just HBO for a long time. Then they started doing HBO PPV to so if you were a fan of said PPV fighter already you were likely paying whatever a month for HBO PLUS the $50+ for the PPV of same fighter. Double dipping a lil bit.

Logic would be to let Hearn do the deal as part of his billion though. I would love him to sign so I get to see him in U.K. But in reality I just think They would have to overpay for him given they won't recoup anything from mexico

Nah no extra, just a one shot. How much value would Canelo add to them. Lets say they give him $30mil for a card vs Lemieux. How many new subscribers does that bring in, lets say 33% dont unsubscribe. Does it cover the $30mil.

The $10 PPV idea is great though, but it goes against theyre entire ethos

Showtime have a lot of commitments to boxers at the moment and haymon has a pretty good relationship with espinosa and i don't think oscar and goldenboy can just dance in and take all the cream.
Maybe there is no market in the us for a canelo type paycheck...you just saw his 2nd fight with golovkin only did just over 1 million and HBO are huge compared with showtime.
Maybe they will have explore all avenues to see where they can get the best exposure.....maybe he will demand too much money.
I think things have got cloudy now HBO have retired from the scene especially in the US

We know that both Showtime and ESPN has PPV distribution but DAZN does not. Their Pay per view distributor is Sky Sports; Which I have heard by the way that the American based cable giant Comcast is interested in acquiring. If that happens that could put the DAZN out of business.
