Weird move by PBC...again. Got a TV deal...all the big fights are on PPV now.
To be fair they've always said even before the deals that Mikey-Spence was a PPV fight. And Manny came out of no where.

That was their angle yeah. Now it just seems like all the big names will be fighting on PPV/Premium cable and stuff like Charlo-Monroe is what will be on FOX. Its weird cause PBC put great fights like Thurman vs Porter and Thurman vs Garcia on CBS for free but now Spence-Mikey G is considered worthy of PPV?? What happened??

Been saying this was going to happen for months, getting the whole PBC crew saying I have no idea what Im talking about.

FOX and Showtime will be for showcase and tuneup fights, with the relevant fights all going PPV

Yeah but with the understanding it needed to be built into that platform so both guys would get paid .

Now apparently they're sure it's all good and it's heading to PPV? Well why the ****s this all changed in the space of a month? Lol.

This is showtime feeling the need to get ppv legitimacy in using in house names before DAZN takes off

PPV is dead, whoever still buys these overpriced US PPVs is not doing themselves a favour, if the fans stop paying for it they have to either be much cheaper or be on some kind of monthly sub like DAZN/ESPN+.

Where is this "PPV is dead" crap starting from? The last two PPVs just did over a million each. Should this be on PPV? No, because then that would mean the Porter or Thurman fights if they happen will be on PPV as well. The Crawford one is destined to be on PPV but that's because both are getting $3+ million fighting Joe Blows.

It's dying, but it's not dead. Still a lot of money to be made on PPV, even if 5-10 years from now, it will largely be gone. A lot of people are just used to getting TV through cable or satellite. Even though anybody can go buy a roku for $29, the average person is very ******.

If PBC doesn't try to fill the PPV void, someone else will. Haymon is still hoping to kill PPV off in favor of network TV, but if he didn't add the Pacquiao PPV, someone else would have. Pac was determined to return to the US and any US Manny fight will be on PPV. Spence vs Mikey on PPV has been the plan for months, just got bumped to February to make room for Pac.

I'd rather PBC just do an app vs selling me a monthly PPV.

$10 vs $60+ a month makes $10 a month look super reasonable. I thought we were gonna have a subscription service vs free & basic cable battle.

Looks like we are getting a battle of classic PPV & this new hybrid PPV model.

Idk if PBC is doing a PPV a month or not, but the early word was we were getting 2 PPV's a year & we got 3 PPV's in the first 3 months of this new deal coming into play. Not a good sign.

I thought we were about to save some money, but looks like we are gonna be paying more with 2 subscription services & a sh^t load of PPV's.
If Mikey-Spence and Pac-Broner are PPVs (nothin has been released) I don't see any other PBC PPV' this year other than Pac-May 2.

And I doubt the price will be $75-85. Now of they decide to do the UFC motto I don't even know what else could be PPV headliners. Charlo-Hurd or Santa Cruz-Russell. Of course Thurman-Spence. I guess they're banking on if UFC can do it, why not them. But I also wonder if these alleged PPV are part of the 12 SHO and 10 FOX cards?
