Idk if anyone can free roam like that. I think you can free roam promoters & no one does that even. But doing that with a network is a bigger thing I feel like. But yea if he could it would for sure be in his best interest to start a bidding war for every fight.

And maybe more importantly since Canelo is ultimately a GBP product I suspect an important part of Canelo getting a deal on another network is gonna include them signing a deal with GBP so Oscar gots a place to build the next generation of guys he gots like Munguia, Ryan Garcia & others. So I mainly don't see it happening for that reason.

I mean honestly if I was a boxer I wouldn't wanna be promoted by the guy who's known for wearing panties, fishnet stockings & putting stuff up his booty hole...so I understand Canelo trying to leave outside of business reasons.

I hope Showtime. That would take away a major hurdle to make some good fights

Spot on; I agree! DAZN is a premium subscription based online streaming sports service.

Canelo's guarantee is upwards to at least $20mil per fight. DAZN would simply go bankrupt, broke or out of business like HBO trying to put Canelo on some app.

Pay per view is the place where Saul Canelo Alvarez ought to be. Showtime has an American Pay Per View distributor and so does ESPN and I am not talking about its subscription based ESPN+ app either.

Absolutely, why not? Why sign a network deal with anyone? Canelo is THE main attraction in the states and he calls all the shots. If he wants to fight on SHO PPV, then so be it. If he wants to fight on ESPN PPV then so be it. Again, signing a deal with any network only benefits GBP who could leverage that to get dates.
