Blame biased guys like Max Kellerman, who know nothing about boxing and act like experts. This dweeb is in the boxing hall of fame? What a joke. He sucks. Killed HBO. Oh well. Also Peter Nelson was an incompetent cuckold. Arum crushed him!!

Yeah a new direction on sports which includes a documentary on "a legendary crew of young surfers that would take the sport to unprecedented heights" plus 24/7 episodes on *****ing golf! This came from an HBO reply to an email I sent them telling them I am cancelling HBO because they are dropping boxing.

HBO hasn't been putting on any quality boxing for quite awhile. Now let's see where Golovkin ends up. It seemed like that's the only one they truly cared about.

Stuff like Max Kellerman's "winning the story line" kinda crap and Jone's bias predictability and etc and conforming to Hoya, Arum, etc

          didnt help

And now CBS and Haymon gonna corner the market including places like boxingscene

Jim Lampley isn’t crawling anywhere. He’s 70 years old and is doing it for the love of the sport and travel. He does not need the money. The last thing he will be doing is having his hand out.

PBC now has the largest TV budget in all of boxing. How is that a failure? They just got boxing back on free network TV and they're being paid $60-70 million a year for it. They just got an extension from Showtime and they're being paid $60-70 million a year for it.

They have more world champions than ever, more power than ever, more of the top American fighters than ever. In less than three years they ran HBO boxing out of business.

So far, PBC has been a huge success. Their fighters have laughed at DAZN. PBC fighters are about to get the best exposure imaginable being on FOX every month, being promoted on FOX during NFL, MLB, WWE, etc.

Who is going to be able to compete with that?

Who fighters are signed to determines which fights we get to see. Canelo and GGG staying on HBO would mean they'd have nobody to fight but each other. Them going to ESPN, DAZN or PBC means we get to see a bunch of great fights we wouldn't get to see otherwise. The less fractured the sport is, the better it is for fans. That's why fans are celebrating. Now there are only three leagues in America instead of four. The goal should be to only have one. But three is still way better than four.

Correct. Pretty soon there will be no reason for Canelo to stay with GBP, which means pretty soon, there won't be a GBP. Good riddance.

                      Meh.

They haven't given a shit about boxing since they got rid of Larry Merchant, it was all down hill after that.
