This is good news if it means a bigger budget for new TV shows. I'm so tired of watching overhyped garbage on Netflix and Amazon in between waiting for the next season of Game of Thrones to drop on PB. I hope they come out with some new TV shows. They're geniuses when it comes to TV.

And boxing is too fragmented anyway. Needs a complete overhaul. No one is going to subscribe to 4 channels just to watch 3 or 4 cards a year except the diehard boxing fan. Once old boxing fans are dead, boxing is done. Finito.

Eddie Hearn will be doing backflips in the kitchen after hearing this. This must be good for DaZone.

Superfly Series will not end with HBO.

Most likely it'll migrate to ESPN and the series will potentially reboot starting with Ancajas vs Rungvisai early next year

This is not just the end of boxing on HBO,
it may be the beginning of a slow end to the sport in general.
Where/how do casual fans and those who are not interested in
other sports become exposed to boxing as boxing starts to
become exclusive to sports-only networks like ESPN & DAZN?
Broad entertainment platforms like HBO & Showtime provide the
opportunity for not-yet-boxing-fans to be exposed to significant
fights. The sport's fan base may start to dwindle over time
simply because boxing is being viewed in less mainstream places.
Showtime is still going strong, and I hope they can continue with
            their dedication to the sport.

Hbo wants to drop boxing, well boxing fans need to send a message back that we won't pay subscription fees for their shītty hōmō****** programming. This is a sad day for the sport even if they had terrible boxing broadcasts it was at least good for the sport.

Well we could see this coming. Everyone can say what they wish, but I must admit one thing; I grew up on HBO boxing. Jim Lampley turned into a schit storm.... but I’ll always remember that voice from growing up listening to it. HBO... off the subscription ASAP

Wow they got some competition and folded! DAZN must be rubbing their hands with glee.
