Williams beat Sharmba Mitchell, Antonio Margarito, Carlos Quintana, Verno Phillips, Ronald (Winky) Wright, Sergio Martinez, Kermit Cintron, Erislandy Lara.
Sharmba was done, margarito is a punching bag, struggled with Quintana, Ronald was done, Martinez dropped Paul, the Lara fight was close & good & as for Kermit cintron & verno phillips not so nice try....lol

Williams was my guy when he was active, liked his game. He might have given Mayweather some problems, but I don't see him being all that dangerous to Floyd. He'd win some rounds for sure though. Remember, Mayweather was great in the pocket and inside, I think he is able to slip inside easily and win the fight there.

Williams never made the name to warrant that big of a fight, it's a shame because he had a good style to give a lot of fighters problems. But Quintana schooled him in fight 1, there is nothing Quintana does that Floyd doesn't do a lot better.

          I think Floyd wins 8-4 or 9-3.

As for Margarita? Floyd fought the exact fighter that Margarita was in his prime, Carlos Baldomir. MArgarito vs Floyd looks exactly like Carlos Baldmoir vs Floyd. Two plodding come forward fighters that have no chance to do anything vs Floyd.

May won that first bout fight largely due to his clean punching and higher percentages of jabs and power punching.
The fight was NOT close. Fans wanted a rematch cuz Cheno was fighting dirty & the fans liked to see that done to Floyd. T.B.E. weathered all storms.

Yeah, he had anything but excellent boxing skills, but he could definitely be a problem for a lot of fighters.

I think people saw what Vernon Forest did to a prime Shane Mosely when he was #1 P4P and think that's what Paul Williams would do to Mayweather. It's not even a reasonable comparison.

Floyd's skill was the only advantage he ever needed cuz other fighters were bigger, stronger, threw more punches (when he became Money May) a few that was just as fast, some had more experience, I mean it goes on....LOL
