A 60/40 Joshua split, Sky Sports in the UK, Showtime/CBS in the US, with a handshake to talk a rematch if one would make sense, would've sealed the deal for the fight this year, and everyone knows it.

Wilder's likely not getting 50%, but take the deal that it was supposed to be from the start, and bump Wilder's take over 40%, and you'd have your deal for April.

Anything else isn't worth talking about
Yeah I completely agree that Hearn is making this much more difficult but Finkel's also asking for way too much. It's just a bargaining tool but it's taking a damn long time to make a good fight.

"I want Deontay Wilder because that is the biggest fight in world boxing," Hearn said. "It would be the biggest fight in all-time British boxing history."

But saying it and making it are entirely different. Hearn said any deal must be done before Wilder-Fury on Dec. 1, which is going to make things even more difficult given that Wilder (and Fury, also a possible foe for a huge all-British showdown) will be focused on the task at hand. There's really no need to line up an April fight in December, so it seems like an artificial deadline that will cause the fight not to happen.

But Joshua, boxing's biggest global star, can tell Hearn what he wants. There is no need for such a deadline, and everyone knows it. Still, Joshua at least said the right things...

"We've been negotiating after the [Carlos] Takam fight last year so it's been a long time negotiating," Joshua said of Wilder. "There's a lot of back and forth, but ultimately we're two fighters, two champions in the same division at the same time. So at the end of the day we have to fight each other. It would be silly of us not to. Wilder will step up, Fury will step up. So it's just a matter of time."

A matter of time indeed because it says here it won't be next. We'll be waiting once again, until at least the fight after Joshua faces somebody else -- Dillian Whyte? -- on April 13.

Didn't stop Wilder and his pathetic fans for calling out AJ for not signing to fight Wilder even though he was scheduled to fight Parker and then Povetkin - Two much harder fights than Fury.

      Wilder fangirls strike again.

I do but I also think it’s silly to live in the past. They got past that stage in the negotiations

        • When Deontay offered this 50 mill Hearn said okay lets see a contact. It never came. That's precisely the lack of worthy tangible deal offer Finkel complains he's not getting, yet he didn't offer it nor sign the actual contracts he received either.

Hearn has submitted 2 actual contracts. Finkel agreed to the key terms by email including the money.

He did not sign it nor provide feedback as to suddenly why not when he'd said he would?

That latter contract Is still in their hands and can be signed, why don't they?

          • Eddie knows he has to make out he wants it (and he does.. all the money that is!)...the silly old man has gone public, he doesn't ....for two years! .What a pair of clown's.

Given A.J.'s last performance , he would be out of there in few rounds and I support the lad .....maybe the cold didn't help...I mean that.

            The truth often hurts......I await!

You're lying. Wilder was supposed to fight Klitschko, but Klitschko lost his interim bout, causing the Wilder fight to fall apart. Wilder was supposed to fight Povetkin, but Povetkin cheated twice and the WBC wouldn't sanction the fight. Whyte was offered a final eliminator to become mandatory and pulled out of the fight. Joshua was given the 50 million he demanded and still refused to fight.

You listed a bunch of guys who ducked Wilder, plus Klitschko who agreed to fight Wilder, but lost his interim fight, and then claimed Wilder ducked these guys? You're not making any sense.

The guy paid to post pro wilder stuff is making excuses why he’s avoided every big challenge

                Sounds about right

Wilder is a paper champ and afraid of a true challenge which is why he goes after a recovering drug addict in fury and not the true champ in Joshua

It’s why he ducked klit, Povetkin and Whyte

                • Wilder is a fool... he’s only after cashing out against Joshua

                  • Hopefully Fury puts an end to Wilder over the 2 fights.

Let him retire as the biggest dumbass in HW boxing.

That's a lie. I am paid to correct false information. Wilder happens to be the subject the most false information is posted about.

A fact is a fact even if you label it an excuse. Klitschko lost his titles the same year Wilder won his title. When was the unification supposed to take place? Klitschko had agreed to fight Jennings before Wilder ever faced Stiverne.

Wilder flew overseas to face Povetkin, but Povetkin was caught cheating. To call that a duck on Wilder's part just shows how ridiculous you're being. Whyte was offered a final eliminator and turned it down. Wilder made a voluntary against Ortiz, the most feared heavyweight in the world, for no reason other than to prove a point. Your argument is very weak here.
