Ishe seems like a good one really soon in fact. He's older. He brings what he brings & doesn't seem to be pushing THAT hard to get the W. So its a good lil confidence building win that puts a name on your resume & shows you/teaches you some sh^t probably without it being too risky of a fight.
Agree 100 percent. The kid needs to fight someone that'll make him have to think and be uncomfortable in there.

Damn Lubin left the guy who trained him since he was 13. You gotta level up sometimes.

How many Terry Norris-like cats are there doe?

I mean I don't doubt he can have a successful career. Sh^t if he gets knocked out in his next 3 fights & retires at 19-4 or w/e its been a successful career one could argue, but I think he's going for more than that.

And the way he was KO'd isn't some sh^t you'll find in THAT many future p4p discussed, multi-division title holder or HOF guys' history. Not saying there isn't anyone who comes back from sh^tty L's like that, but there are far more guys who's ceiling has been reached after that kinda L in a big fight or who's ceiling has been limited through various reasons one could argue after that kinda L (confidence issues, them just not being that good or able to get that good to begin with.....etc & so on) that automatically should make one lower expectations on Lubin's career.

Thats also why it'll be all the more impressive if Cunningham does get him running 154 like a boss one day. If he didn't have that awful KO in his history one would be more inclined to see Lubin's future being more brighter than they do post-an L like he took & Cunningham's words here wouldn't be as bold a shot to call.

Munguia has beaten much better fighters already doe. Lubin needs some step up fights before he's fighting another top 5-ish guy. Sh^t let him fight a top 20 guy before we throw him in with the wolves at the tip top which Munguia is just inside of or just outside of already.

I'm anti-all this babying fighters for their first 10-20 fights of their career sh^t in 80/20 or more uneven type fights, but I also don't like seeing guys go from sucker fights to top 5 caliber opponents. And thats what happened to Lubin once & they definitely should be more mindful before throwing him in with another top 5 guy a second time. I don't think that sorta fight should happen to him for another year or two & after a more gradual build up in his opposition.

I think Munguia is just too big, and should move up 1 or 2 divisions. But there are several great fights at 54 for a Cunningham powered Lubin.
