How did Fury suddenly become champion?

Pretty sure Fury said he retired and nobody classed Canelo lineal when he got suspended. No major site views Fury as lineal, because he isn't.

Nobody classed Canelo as Lineal when he beat Cotto, who beat Martinez, who beat Pavlik, who beat Taylor, who beat Hopkins?

He was the definition of lineal. He was the man who beat the man who beat the man who beat the man. What he wasn’t was the proper champ. That was GGG. In the old days with one title somebody would have been stripped for not fighting GGG. Lineal champs don’t get stripped.

Fury did say he wouldn’t box again you are correct. How seriously you take that statement decides whether you believe he is lineal or not. I didn’t believe it for one second

lineal means jack **** when your way past your prime and you have not beaten anybody of note in the last 3 years.

Lewis beat Rahman, who beat Lewis, who beat Briggs, who beat Foreman, who beat Moorer, who beat Holyfield and so on, all the way back to John L. Sullivan.

Since Fury hasn't lost in the ring yet, he's still the lineal champion.

Mm no actually if you did your research you'd understand that I was a Fury supporter way before you even knew who AJ was.

I just find it hilarious how once again Wilder's fangirls will switch according to agenda.

- When Fury had came off beating Wlad, he was crap.
- When Wilder went to Russia to fight Povetkin - He took on the most dangerous heavyweight
- When Ortiz decisioned Malik Scott, he was crap.

Yet... when things spun around the EXACT opposite happened. Fury is now the real champion, who's very hard to beat. Ortiz is the best heavyweight in the world and Povetkin is no good.

Both these things should mean he was stripped and most believe he is because of this.
