but why don't canelo or ggg fight the mandatory of the wbc..jermall charlo

Who says they wont. They just fought a couple of weeks ago. Charlo hasnt fought since April. And only once last year. Why is he waiting around so long? Is he afraid hell lose and then lose his spot in line??? Earliest he will get a fight is in May. Thats over 1 year between fights. Not a good look. And he beat 2 BUMS at MW.

One trend I've noticed over the years on these boards is:

1. The over-hyping of young non-black fighters, who show just a little promise (i.e. Munguia, a young and tough but very flawed fighter) but have no bodies to support the hype. Another great example is that bum Lemeuix (who's has literally lost to a career sparring partner); and

2. the down playing of black fighters who have been in the game for years with good wins and showing little signs of vulnerability. Examples include the Charlos, Hurd and Gary Russell (yes he lost you Loma, but that's like saying he lost to Floyd imo)

*Now before you all start crying victim mentality, you should know that I'm anything but that. (I can run my CV if that makes you feel better, but know I'm young and doing very very well and I'm highly credentialed.)

I usually try to avoid the race point but I'm just tired of seeing the same trends on here. Fans have to stop with the nonsense and start keeping this objective.

There's absolutely no logical reason why someone should think a true journeyman (and fairly low skilled fighter) like Lemeuix deserves a fight with Canelo and Charlo doesn't. That just screams of a double standard. What makes it worse in my opinion is the age of posters here. Most of you guys are late 30s or older and you still haven't come to a point in life where you can call things straight up.

Charlo is the only other guy at the weight besides Saunders and GGG who's been an actual champion and defended his belt. If he's not deserving, then who is? Lol

And then you don't want to be called a victim?? I break it to you like this. 1. Charlo is with Haymon, Oscar and Haymon have a beef for obvious reasons.
2. instead of coming here begging other people to root for Charlo and other black fighters, Shouldn't you start with your own community? (given that Black community is more aphetic when it comes to boxing and supporting their own)
3. I agree that people should not be bias towards any boxer, but people have the right to decide who they root for, and that should be non of your business. We live in a free country and we have the right to decide who we root for,
4. I don't see anybody here crying and begging you to root for so and so fighter, so don't try to impose your mentality on others.


Having said that I agree that the best fighters should fight the best and most dangerous fights. but then again isn't that what Canelo is been doing? He fought the boogie men of 154, Lara, and now the boogie man of 160 twice.

Either Charlo, Jacobs/Derevyanchenko winner, or Saunders/Andrade winner next.

Unify the whole division or GGG part III. Those are the only fights I want to see.

We ALL know GGG and Canelo has granite chins. I also noticed Charlo gassed out around round 6 in the Trout fight and Trout took all the late rounds. I expect Canelo to drag him out to deep water and then drown him. Charlo has only been in 1 12 round fight. Thats gonna hurt him. Canelo will work that body and really slow him down.

Exactly, your right on point. I just don’t see Charlo competing at a high level with Canelo. Even the people that don’t like Canelo have to see that. It’s different levels to this and Canelo is on a whole other level of “confidence” coming off those (2) fights against GGG. He is definitely coming forward as long as it lasts with strong body and head shots. And who has Charlo beat besides Trout, Cornelius Bundrage? LOL!!!

Personally, i have zero interest in a Canelo Lemieux fight. He is gate keeper quality. Like to see charlo get a shot.

I don't recall you saying the same thing when GGG fought Lemieux.....I guess you're still but hurt ehh!

Canelo hasn't fought a top fighter is in his 20s since trout and since then, Trout has been exposed as a high level gate keeper for the better fighters in the division. I don't see charlo getting a Canelo fight until maybe 2020.

Troll may I remind you Canelo fought and beat Lara, the one that neither of the Charlos wanted to fight so GTFO with your hating åss.

Charlo and Russell Jr. cant blame their inactivity on anyone but themselves. I don't feel sorry for boxers that fight once a year and then scream bloody murder.

1. Charlo fights once a year
2. He's only fought one 12 rounder.
