AJ was 25 pounds bigger than poots and half a foot taller. Wilder was 30 pounds smaller than King Kong with no height and reach advantage. Who is doing the cherry picking?

I'll let you decide that based on the matchups.
Joshua:
Povetkin - mandatory/ was ranked 3 in the world.
Parker - unification / was ranked 3 in the world.
Takam - mandatory/late replacement - was top15 in the world.
Klitschko - unification/Hall of famer/was ranked top3 in the world
Other fights of note: Whyte, Brezeale.
Wilders comparison;
Ortiz - was ranked top 5 in the world
Stiverne - mandatory / was ranked outside top15
Washington - was ranked outside top15
Arreola - was ranked outside top15
Other fighters of note: none
Based on active boxrec heavyweights (so excludes klitschko).
Joshua has fought:
4 of 9 other top10 (Povetkin, Whyte, Brezeale, Parker)
Whenever there is an undisputed or a unification bout, it supersedes the mandatory defense. Joshua didn't have to challenge Povetkin right away. It was done by choice. He could have easily delayed it by getting an extension to fight Deontay if he wanted it badly enough but didn't. He simply chose to challenge a diminished, shot, old and washed up Povetkin with no stamina or chin in order to avoid Wilder.

Well in this case neither but Povetkin was rated higher. If you look at all the ranking bodies etc Wilder has done a lot of cherry picking and Finkel has admitted it.
If you have a problem with Povetkin beging highly rated have a go at boxrec , The Ring Magazine, ESPN they are the ones making Wilder look bad with their evil facts.
Maybe you should start your owning ranking body the "Wilder Ranking Organisation" that will reverse all these so called experts and only rate Al Haymon / Don King fighters ... who is all Wilder has fought for the last 10 fights because if he loses Al still has the belt.
I got into boxing because of a string of great American Heavyweights and they can come back but no more excuses for this one please, he just ain't interesssssssssssssted.
Yet he was not a champion or a titleholder. That was a cowardly and optional defense to avoid Wilder after he had agreed to all of AJ's terms and in order to save face; Eddie Hearn pulled Povetkin out of his ass right when Wilder was all prepared to sign the $15 mil flat-fee, with no percentage, fighting Joshua on foreign soil and fighting him in a venue of his choice.
Once this happened, Hearn panicked by stating that the fight couldn't happen in the month of September due to the Canelo/Golovkin fight and he wanted Joshua to have at least a 12 week training camp. The excuses just kept pouring in and then ultimately, he contacted the WBA because he was never serious about a Wilder fight in the first place, to get President Mendoza to mandate a 24 hour deadline to finalize a Povetkin/Joshua deal which actually took two months to finalize.
This was yet another clear duck of Wilder by Anthony Joshua to avoid fighting him because he is scared.
