Ok thanks for biting. This is what I mean by rewriting history ladies and gentleman. He did not have the choice to fight pulev or Ortiz. What happened was he Ibf called their mandatory and the wba didn’t. It was not a straight choice between the two of them. Had Ortiz not lost to wilder and failed that drugs test might I add he would have been the one facing aj on Saturday not povetkin. But yeah you carry on painting this false narrative of aj choosing to fight takam over Ortiz

How long was Ortiz was supposed to wait for his opportunity? That was the main reason why he signed with Matchroom in the first place to get his title shot at Joshua. He waited for Klitschko, then he was expected to wait for several more months after Joshua's IBF mandatory defense. I can't blame him for leaving Matchroom for an instant shot at the WBC title from the PBC.

Ortiz is not ranked highly and has not fought any one of note since he was KO'd in March.

        GTFO!

It makes a lot of sense for fans to want to see it. It makes absolutely zero business sense. Therefore, it's not going to happen.

Why would Hearn risk three world heavyweight titles against a Haymon fighter in a non-mandatory fight, especially when that fighter is a dangerous puncher?
Incorrect, he was prescribed hydrochlorithiazide for his blood pressure which is why he was still ranked with the WBC but mysteriously the WBA dropped him after the mandatory Hearn controlled ranking was sabotaged by yes I agree Edwards Hearns!

I agree with everything else, AJ is media hype created by Edwards Hearns, his gold medal was even given to him thanks to home cooked decisions!

You can't take a title shot with a different organization and still keep your mandatory status. Ortiz lost his WBA mandatory status by agreeing to fight for the WBC title.

You’re embarrassing yourself even more now. Ortiz signed with Hearn in October of 2016 well before aj became wba champion so that’s not “the reason he signed with him” in fact he left hearn before aj became wba champ so please explain to me once again how that was the reason he signed for him in the first place.

In regards as to how long does he have to wait, he has to wait until the wba ordered the mandatory, it’s not Hearn or aj’s fault the ibf called their mandatory first. Ortiz may have made a lot of noise about being the mandatory and he was but super champions have 18 months to fulfil any mandatory obligations and the ibf called their Mando in the mean time.

Yes he has before but even the WBC after their investigation decided not to suspend him or penalize him cuz of their findings that yes it didn’t make sense for him to not note to them that he was taking prescriptions prescribed by his doctor but nonetheless that’s what it was, doctor prescribed medication!

Even after this, he was completely removed altogether from the WBA/IBF/WBO rankings especially with the WBA, that doesn’t seem fishy with you??

You guys make too much of silly excuses about been prime.
When exactly was Ortiz primed, who did he beat and what did he achieve?

Stop all these prime rubbish.... Nobody waits for you to prime, you have to catch up with the division. The division doesn't wait for you to prime.
OK. If they were not both pushing 50, both ortiz and wlad proba ly ould have eeked out the victory.

                    no prime necessary lol

We fights fans can only wish. That fight will never happen because it's too risky of a fight for Anthony Joshua. It's just your prototypical high risk/low reward fight.

Ortiz is just too exceptional for his own good but he's still relatively unknown which is of no fault of his own; Because he is and still remains the bogey man of the heavyweight division. Everybody is afraid of fighting this guy for the exception of Deontay Wilder.

Furthermore, he has no leverage or cards over AJ; In terms of titles or new fans in order to bring Joshua or even other contenders to the bargaining table.
