Thurman has been out nearly as long as Floyd's retirement after he beat Hatton. When out that long you lose a lot of credibility. Thurman is going to have to re-prove himself. He earned the top spot, then retired. Arthroscopic surgery on his elbow, then a bruised hand is normal for being out nearly two years? GTFO!!!

i totally agree with everything you said, triangle theories dont work thats just on paper stuff... The problem that i am having is this.. i am a HUGE spence fan, he was born in the neighborhood that i grew up in, his uncle steve is a close friend of mine and ive been following his career since the amateurs... he is being boxed out and its driving me up the wall!! bud chose to be boxed out when he reupped with arum.. now that thurman is coming back, i will bet any amount of money that porter fights thurman AGAIN, before he fights spence.. danny garcia is coming off another loss so i dont see the point of fighting him and as i said bud being with tr he is basically off limits to ej.. so who does that leave??? mikey garcia?? i truly believe that is all smoke and mirrors, i do not believe mikey wants to fight him, but lets say that mikey went across the grain this time and dropped spences name and actually does fight him.. what will that do for ejs ww ranking?? if spence kos mikey it wont mean anything, he gets absolutely no shine for it and rightfully so.. spence is right now just entering his prime, it would be a damn shame for ALL Boxing fans if none of the big names fights him now! i dont want to see his prime years wasted on guys like ocampos. its just not good for boxing!

Spence is a very likeable guy, humble and comes to fight. I don’t believe he’s scared to fight bud or anyone for that matter.
I am supporting him myself and I’m from the Philippines. But we also have to give credit where it’s due to other top guys at WW even if we think spence is better than them.
If he indeed fights Mikey, it’ll gain him some recognition in mexican fanbase, he’ll knock mikey out but his rank will likely remain the same.
Nothing wrong with fighting Danny as his prev fight with porter was close. You just have to do better and clean em up 1 by 1. Thurman ain’t likely to face any of the top WW soon, so it’s likely Spence gets his hand on porter first.

I’d like to see spence’s career unfold, and he should seek challenges at 154 after he’s done with em WW guys.

i agree with everything u said except that i do not believe porter fights spence first. i definitely see porter having the rematch vs thurman first.. for as long as spence has been calling out the big names, in the same time frame basically porter has been calling for the thurman rematch and now that porter has the belt, theres no doubt thurman will want to fight him now so in my opinion that fight happens first and then i guess we will see what happens.. my fear is that porter wins the rematch and they have a trilogy :******( then it will literally take years for spence to fight either one of them ughhhhhhh we all have to hope thurman beats porrter again!!!

As long as Spence and Crawford are their he is not. Two split decision wins over Garcia and Porter do not help either. Thurman was the best. Right now I would have to go with Spence. They may never fight each other

If I'm going to be a Critic and tell you who I think has the best talent, I believe Crawford is the most talented and he will take over Spence and Thurman in the long run,, but right now based on resumes Thurman is at the #1 spot Point Blank.

Thurman's best win is Porter, and it was a razor tight decision.

Porter lost cleanly to Brook at his own home in America, and Spence stopped Brook at his own home in Sheffield.

So Thurman's best win lost to Spence's best win, and Thurman went life and death with that guy (Porter).

Thurman's second best win is Garcia, who was bettered from pillar to post by Lamont Pietersen and got a robbery decision.

That same Pietersen was beaten pillar to post by Spence.

Thurman aint this undisputed number 1 that he claims to be, I understand why his fanboys buy that fake news by loudmouth Thurman but in reality, the facts don't align with what he is saying.

It's like that time he and Demetrius Andrade were talking about the Floyd vs Robert Guererror performance in an interview.

Andrade was like "Daym that was a true master class by Floyd"

And Thurman quickly jumped in and said "But I beat Robert Guererror better than Floyd did" and Demetrius just had this "wtf is this guy saying" facial expression.


Thurman talks a lot of crap but weighed against the facts its not even remotely true when you think about it.

LOL, you want to compare Blown up jr ww/washed up Peterson to a Prime 140 lb version.
Spence's best name on his resume are a broken eye socket Brook and old dog Peterson. But outboxing a classy counter-puncher like a prime Danny Garcia and an aggressive animal Wolverine like Porter is way better than those other Irrelevant WW's.
The last time I checked Shawn Porter is the WBC champion and Danny Garcia lost a razor-thin decision to Garcia they are light years above Peterson and FKN Brook.

Spence next fight could be against Mikey or a unification with porter.
Porter’s next fight could be against spence.
Thurman would take a tune up, no way he goes directly for porter.
Mikey could fight commey then wait for Loma before he makes a jump to WW.
Nothing is written in stone so were just gonna wait and find out.

Best possible thing that could happen for spence is fight Porter dec-january while thurman will have his tune up.

Then winner vs winner against April. Let’s just scratch out Mikey as I honestly think he should handle his business at 135 first.

By the end of next year we’ll be extremely lucky to see crawford-spence materialize.
If not he moves on to 154.
