Canelo earned it. By a round or 2.... ggg just seemed off tonight. Too slow. But....... at least we got a winner!

    Khan

What a fight*#CaneloGGG2*I gave the fight to Canelo. It was toe to toe action, Very exciting. Canelo surprised us all with the come forward pressure game plan. Well done to both Canelo and GGG. Boxing needed this*@HBOboxing@GoldenBoyBoxing

    Smith

6-5-1 to Canelo. Great fight. Two top class fighters. Watched that many slow mo replays and rewound just to say “wow” watching Canelo feint the left hook to the body and turn it to something else. I feel for Golovkin. He’s had 24 great rounds & only 1 of the 6 judges gave him it

    Monroe

I though the decision rendered was right felt like Canelo won both fights and this time it was more convincing

8-4 or 9-3 for the Mexican. Body shots were the difference*#CaneloGGG2

    — Sergio Mora (@TheLatinSnake_)*September 16, 2018

    Plant

115-113 canelo. Controlled the center of the ring, dictated the pace most of the fight and was the ring general 80% of the time if not more. He was winning a majority of the exchanges. That wins fight. GGG beat him at the jab but jabs don’t out score right hands and left hooks.

    Fowler

Respect to*@canelo*I scored it 115-113 in his favour, he put on a great show and pushed*@gggboxing*back out of his comfort zone, but I don’t think Canelo will ever win the love of the fans back now though after failing that drug test*#caneloggg2pic.twitter.com/mDjmM0E7fC

    Coldwell

Listen. If GGG has won I’d still say it was a close fight. A close fight can go either way.*
I scored it ONE round to Canelo. With one round even. If that goes GGG it’s a draw.*
If ONE of the close rounds I go GGG instead i then have GGG the winner.

    Quigley

So I watched the fight and I had it 115-117 in favor of canelo , what a great fight boxing fans have to be happy with that , also I can see by the commentary why people might be swayed to think GGG won ,*#CaneloGGG2

Canelo clearly landed the cleaner harder shots did more damage in both fights. Busted up Lara eye sending him sprinting the entire night and rearranged GGG face. Stalking and backing up GGG who tapped out a Mexican Style fight he demanded. canelo bullied the bully. And damn near doubled up Lara in power punches and finished with the virtual same total punches landed. But all Lara punches were jabs. Power punches > Jabs.
      Exactly...

      Power punches > jabs.

      Thats it.

So Frank Warren says "Two of those judges in the 1st fight was aweful".

I get BYRD that was a very bad card but the other judge why was his bad??? Because he gave round 7 to Canelo?? Fine then give round 7 to GGG BUT then take Morretti's round 3 card away from GGG and give it to Canelo. That was one of Canelos best rounds..

Guess what??? A DRAW again. What 's Frank Warren gonna do then??? Call Morreti and BYRDS cards terrible then???

Thanks for demonstrating exactly why the media are mostly just casuals/ biased know nothings. There is no such thing as an evenly scored rd,ever heard of the 10 pt must system?

You assume too much... How you know they just dont know what theyre doing and realize their mistakes until after its posted Until I see and ACTUAL 10-10 rounder from them Im not assuming anything. A 10-10 round should rarely be used. You have 4 key points to go through before you get to a 10-10 round.

I disagree with Warren. Most “objective” people who had GGG winning, would only have him winning 7-5 or if they called (1) round a draw; 6-5-1. Or they had Canelo by the same margins. Or they had the fight a draw. But people on here or elsewhere that scored for (1) fighter by more the (2) rounds, have a bias towards (1) fighter and you can’t take them seriously. Not a fan of either fighter so I scored with no bias after I watched it again a few times. GGG, 7-5 and then I watched it again last night and had Canelo 7-5. It was a VERY CLOSE fight. Much respect to the judges, JEEZ!!!

1st off bugeyes is not only fool of shît but hes flat out completely lying because ggg was allowed the unprecedented step of being allowed to choose from a pool of judges & out of the last 2 fights with canelo 3 of the judges are as CLEARLY pro ggg as a judge can ever be for any fighter. Don Trella (who scored it a draw in 1st fight) was the same judge who somehow gave ggg the win vs jacobs by a rediculous score of 115-112 as did Steve Weisfeld who scored it for Canelo in rematch. And Dave Morreti out of the 6 judges from both fights was the only judge to score it for ggg( in the 1st fight),he scored 2nd for Canelo. This despite gggs team being allowed to approve the judges for the 1st time in vegas history,& saying after the fight they "did their job fabulously"

This fisheyed chump has the audacity to cry about judges when he hand picks nothing but the most corrupt judges that gift his fighters every rd in a razor close fight or sometimes in fights where they CLEARLY lost, yet here hes been from day1 shamelessly riding gs sack like the biased disgrace to boxing he is. He robbed Garcia vs frampton when garcia won that fight,& he robbed Rosado vs Murray despite it being a very close fight Murray was gifted 10 rds to 2 on 1 card,116-112,& on the only card that made ANY sense 114-114 which is what it should've actually been,a draw.
