I replied to this when you suggested it in the other thread, so I'll just copy paste here

while I think 168 is the weaker divison (by far) that could be a good move by G. Move up at the end of his career and get a strap or two. (GGG could beat the winner of Groves/Smith easier than GGG/Canelo III)

I'm not sure this version of GGG that just had his face broken and humiliated by the smaller man walking him down does. At his age moving up to a new weight class while less talent is a risk and there isn't any big money fights at 168. So if you going to take a risk why not get paid more and fight canelo, Jacobs/dervy, saunders/Andrade, murat at 160. These are all bad options because after Sat beating that might have been his last hurrah. He's damaged goods at 160 or 168.

        Definately.
People complaining hes a one division champ well now is his time to make it happen.
I believe he can grab a cpl of these belts.

plus he showed his reflexes aren't as slow as people think when he was dodging Canelo's bombs well.

Put him against a weight drained 6'3 Callum Smith?

not to mention Groves has showcased a cracked jaw in the past. The only people G haven't been able to knock down were using the power of Clen or the power of Chemo

If he cared about the belts he wouldn't of fight canelo. He would of fought saunders or moved up a long time ago. It was always about the money. Even if he has to take a pay cut because he has no belts and lost he will still makes more money in a 3rd Canelo fight then he does 5-10 fights at 168.

and that's the problem with boxing these days. you lose the 0 in your record and you're considered "damaged goods"

Yes I'm saying if he can get the Canelo re-match then of course thats first.
But then after leave 160 for the bigger boys.

160 is where the action is. It would be nice to see GGG move up to 168 and win a title, but the division is garbage.

It's not like GGG is a big MW anyways. Never heard of him struggling to make weight either.
