i never got this whole "you have to rip the title away" - why? if you win the fight and win more rounds, that's all that matters and you become champ.

i don't actually think Canelo won but the point still stands. Giving a champ the nod and benefit of the doubt because he's champ is no better than getting the nod because you're the cash cow. Just judge the fight as it is.

e.g.

in the rematch, regarding the 4 official criteria..... I think Canelo won ALL of them

effective aggression

100% the entire narrative and goal post has been moved. It's crazy but just think about what all the talk was BEFORE he faced canelo? He is the monster who knockouts everyone from 154-168. He will destroy the smaller canelo in 4 rounds. The best body puncher in the sport and folks were making debates who would win GGG or hagler and his fans were saying he Kos hagler. How fast we now move the goal post and the excuses later. Couldn't ko a "chinny" Jacobs in a fight that many thought he lost. Got out boxed and outlanded in power shots by canelo in the first fight. Excuses for him not being the killer is canelo who everyone said had stone feet before the fight ran from him. Lol cries about how if canelo wouldn't of ran we would of seen the killer ko him Mexican style. Rematch canelo brings Mexican style to his front door but he don't want it backing up again only jabbing. Gets bullied all night face beaten and bloody like we never seen GGG face and still excuse making. Now he's not a killer and we should be falling on our knees over jabs? 2 fights in a row where the monster can't land nothing but jabs, no body shots and outlanded in power shots by the little man in BOTH fights.

This is all tears and excuses from a fan base that was duped and cant come to grips with GGG not being what you pretended he was. Excuse making for GGG's short comings.

Two fights and not one GGG fan has expressed disdain over the fact that GGG did not fight the way that he proclaimed himself to fight. He did not fight as if he was the monster that they proclaimed him to be. Master at cutting off the ring? KO artist?

Floyd said hed Ko Pac but didn't fight the way he said he would. Floyd didn't look like he was trying to KO pac. He just fought Pac like he fought everyone. Floyd fans don't show disdain to Floyd for lying. So stop making things up as you go along as to why GGG lost.
Sometimes fighters lie, to make there opponent prepare wrongly. GGG gave you and exciting fight, what more you want?

I doubt if Canelo takes on BJS or Andrade, regardless of who wins. Canelo had chances to fight Andrade before, and went the other direction.

GGG won 8-4 or 7-5 half of the body shots were caught or missed. Canelo got his head jabbed off all night. It was 3-3 after 6 and no way did Canelo win 4 rounds after the 6th.

Public pressure got to Canelo to fight Lara, Trout, and GGG. Canelo was victorious in all of them thanks to having at least one judge in his pocket. The recent fight was a draw in my eyes at least.

While Canelo could have been fighting Andrade, he was fighting Angulo, Kirkland, Khan, and Liam Smith. He ducked GGG for 2 years until he saw him begin to slip. Canelo is good but will never be great. Floyd showed us that, and getting caught juicing is a black eye that will never go away.
