He's the one who said that undercards don't matter and that people will pay for a ppv fight if the main event is good so he kept putting piece of shet undercards in most of his ppv events.
So why the fucc is he complaining about undercards?? According to him they don't matter so why is he biitching about it now??

No hate. Golden Boy has a weak roster and boxing would be better off if that company was absorbed by another. If Andrade beats Saunders and Jacobs beats Derevyanchenko then Hearn has plenty to offer Canelo.

Bob still desperate to get people to agree with his opinion just like his tribal members in the Mainstream Media who get dummies to follow their propaganda.

At some point, people like Lampley who have been in broadcasting for a long time begin to think that it is all about them and not the event they are covering. In boxing, I think the same thing happened to Teddy Atlas, Howard Cosell, and others. The real professionals provide objective analysis and keep the focus on the fight and the fighters. That is not Lampley.

Everyone should be rooting for HBO to leave boxing. Everyone should be rooting for DAZN to fail (although I'm rooting for it to succeed since I do business with DAZN). As many fighters as possible ending up in PBC or with Top Rank increases the number of great fights fans will end up with.

If PBC ever failed and TR fully took over, or if TR ever failed and PBC fully took over, it'd be the best scenario possible for boxing fans in the US. The top fighters would all be in the same league and the fights you'd want to see would almost always happen. Fans shouldn't be rooting for five leagues to succeed, they should be rooting for one league to succeed so we can finally have the best fight the best on a regular basis.
I agree that having one league is best for the sport and for the fans however I disagree that having only one boxing company similar to the UFC out there is the best way to maximize attention, revenue, and investment in the sport.

I think competition is what allows boxing to do what the UFC isn't able to do. Generate Hundreds of millions for one fight. And that ultimately is why I believe networks are investing in boxing now.

So yes it would be best if all fighters could fight under the PBC banter. However I think the pbc should be run like NWA wrestling where pbc would have control over GB, TR, Dibella promotions, Zuffa etc. All under their leagues so that fights and fighters would be done in a timely fashion yet still have the ability to be promoted properly and to be made as big as possible

Me too. I'll even agree with Hearn if he says something I agree with - doesn't mean I need to like him or discount the blatant self-interest that's usually involved - if he says something that makes sense (it can happen....), good enough for me.

"In theory, yes, it makes sense to say, let's go get a lot of good, interesting fights and put them on the [pay-per-view] undercard, but the truth is, and I've been doing this a long, long time, 90 percent of the people don't want to see the undercard and don't care about it," Arum said. "But there is a point to the argument that we should give the other 10 percent something to watch that they'll enjoy, so we decided to try to put together a fun card for them."

Arum was adamant that his research shows the vast majority of consumers buy pay-per-view cards based upon their interest in the main event. He said he also has personal experience. Arum said he attended a party to watch the Floyd Mayweather-Canelo Alvarez pay-per-view and said not many guests seemed interested in watching the very heavily praised undercard, which featured Danny Garcia against Lucas Matthysse.

"People are eating, talking to each other, having a drink, having fun, and they don't give a [expletive] about the undercard," Arum said. "Even in the arena, you're lucky to get the people in there for the semi-main."

Top Rank chairman Bob Arum has taken a lot of heat recently from boxing fans and media for putting poor quality undercards on the pay-per-view bouts his company promotes. The boxing media has been in an uproar since Top Rank … Continue reading →

Arum, back in the day, HATIN' because GBP was killing it with those great undercards! Maybe I'm just part of the 10%???
Bob isn't wrong. People definitely buy a PPV because of the main event. BUT you aren't giving people a fun overall experience by not making fun competitive fights all the way to the main event. You are shortening there enjoyment for the night by putting on one sided matchups. I don't think most boxing fans or casuals are expecting 4 fights that could be a main event by themselves to be the PPV card, but put some competitive f#cking matches on there so people who bought the PPV for that one fight can enjoy boxing & have some fun.

I'm a boxing fan first, but ultimately I'm a combat sports fan too & I've watched big MMA cards with people & people have much more fun at those cards cuz fights pop off every 30 mins. And if a fight ends early then they are gonna have the next guys in the cage quicker too to keep it moving. And MMA matchmaking for the full card is immensely better than boxing matchmaking so there fights are more competitive. Boxing needs to take that blueprint to these PPV & probably the sport in general cuz its not like there aren't a lot of pauses with other cards too. Show me the f#cking fights you f#cking dummies.

                      Might be onto something there.

Teddy is definitely some other thing now too. The SAS thing with him that I happened to see was buffoonery for a guy like old school Atlas, but he seemed liked he loved every minute of it. Guess you get enough sexy checks cats will do almost anything.
