It's just one of those fights,
Exactly this! 116-112 either way and anything in between would have been OK. Several really close rounds and it depends on what you look at.

Obviously you have not seen GGG's face. That's how one can give Canelo more than 5 rounds. He threw punches in bunches while landing the cleaner, crispier and flashier punches in the process. However, in reality this fight should have been ruled a draw. It would have been the only fair verdict.

A fair verdict has Nelo winning BOTH fights.

              Typical fairweathers.

I only heard fight on radio. The 2 commentators one of which was bjs next opponent, had Ggg winning by 2 rounds so I thought Ggg had it in bag. So was surprised when Nell was named winner?

Yes cuz T.B.E. said golovkin would lose to him 3 times if they fought 3 & he DID lose to Jacobs & Nelo TWICE, hence Triple L....LOL

Most of those rounds were extremely close. Even the ones that Golovkin clearly won he started out fast, let Canelo catch him with some good shots, and then try to finish strong to steal the round. Same sh-t he did with Jacobs. I tried to score each round but it was getting frustrating because how close most of them were.

Here's the thing, Canelo was the only one that adjusted in the rematch. He actually stood and fought, even walked Golovkin down 80% of the fight. Golovkin landed more punches but Canelo's punches were crisp (especially in the beginning) and visibly affected Golovkin. When Golovkin got going he was still unable to stop Canelo from coming forward. I thought the fight was too close to call but I can understand why the judges favored Canelo because he adjusted and took the fight to Golovkin this time.

People just seem to struggle to comprehend that you can have such a wide spread, but the reality is, these guys have fought 24 rounds and I would say only 25% of them have been conclusive either way. It's like the Pac-Marquez arguments all over again.

My feeling was that the first fight was a drawish type fight, maybe Golovkin nicking it, he definitely won the event regardless. This feels pretty much the same, but I feel Canelo has won the event this time.

The only answer is fight 3, with maybe an interim fight for both guys.
