I think all those guys go to ESPN. To be honest, I'm not sad. I feel like HBO fell so hard in recent years. Was nothing like what I grew up watching and loving. I was sad when Larry Merchant was booted. But listening to Lampley made me hate them. Showtime, Fox and ESPN ain't too bad to me.Comment

Re
Alvarez has to be smart here, and give himself a fair shot to defend his belt.
The Tri-State region, NY-NJ-PA...it cant happen there. Main Events is a very shady promoter
. They dont have the multitude of assets of the bigger guys like DLH, Arum, and Haymon. So they're 10X more aggressive in protecting the assets they DO have.
I've seen Main Events guys get a total boxing lesson, and escape with a su****ious decision win, or a draw. It always happens on their Tri-State turf.
There's no way Kovalev had a 4 round lead going into the 7th. It was even at worst. Alvarez was getting jobbed, had he not connected on that shot.
If it goes to the northeast again, Alvarez has to be the underdog. All Kovalev has to do is stay on his feet this time, to get the belt back. Alvarez would have to knock him out again.Comment

HBO used to have all of the elite fighters and the best production and announcing to go with it. Showtime has been better since Paulie started announcing and all the Haymon fighters jumped from HBO to Sho around 2013.I think all those guys go to ESPN. To be honest, I'm not sad.
