They just hosted one of the best World Cups ever and the WBSS final. Russia can get money for events like this very easily.... there are many billionaires in Russia that have got rich from Government favours and could pay for this out their own pockets.
I don't think a $50 million event is out of the question. I'm just surprised Russia never bid for it with everything going on right now - and I think Povetkin is getting more than 25% for the fight.
They were never gonna generate more money or get even with the money if they had landed the fight in Russia.
They would have lost money on the fight if they had bid do, something like 40 million.
