That was a really fun fight. Obviously no where near world class skill, but still fun.

Respect to both, that turned into a war at round 6. Much respect to Martin, he pushed through that passivity and manned up and finally started fighting. Kownacki is a tough cookie, throws fairly constantly, but he was very wide open to be taken by an aggressive fighter. Martin finally got aggressive in the last 3 or 4, he could have taken him if he started out that way (barring getting hit by a big shot, Kownacki was definitely throwing them).

Going forward, Kownacki is like Arreola used to be in aggression, but Arreaola was a sharper puncher and (unbelieveably) in better shape. Kownacki is tough and resilient though, and at 260 + he may make some noise for a bit.

Martin needed fights like this long before that Joshua fiasco. He showed some toughness, resilience, and was pushed to throw more punches than he probably ever has (many in defense moving away, thus kinda harmless). If Martin gets mean and aggressive, and someone teaches him to move forward in agrression rather than passively back, he could surprise everyone.

When he squared up and went after Kownacki, he was fearful. He needs to maintain that posture and agression for an entire fight. He could be very good, if ...

Too bad we can't get Kownacki vs. Miller at the Barclay's! Kownacki is not ready for Ortiz or Wilder! I say Kowncaki vs. Ugonoh! Battle for Polish Pride!

Entertaining fight, but i doubt Kownacki is top 10. I think Hrgovic probably beats him easily.

Well two good chins. neither guy has much technical understanding... martin fights on instinct. enjoyable fight indeed. If that Polish kid wants to take it to the next level he needs to sit down on some of his punches and work on angles and defense.

This was an exciting heavyweight fight. And for once I agree with judges Kownacki won buy one round neither guy will ever be a major force in heavyweight divison. But soild top 10 contenders
